Top CXOs and experts will share their insight on the challenges and opportunities for Indian companies in becoming global players at the 11th AIMA National HRM Summit to be held on September 14-15 in New Delhi.
The summit will focus on building organizational capabilities for internationalization of business, the organizational architecture and design for making internationalization a success.
How Indian companies can become multinationals? What are the challenges pertaining to human resources for a global company and what are the ways to address these issues?

Top CXOs and experts will share their insight on the challenges and opportunities for Indian companies in becoming global players at the 11th AIMA National HRM Summit to be held on 14-15 September in New Delhi.

The distinguished corporate leaders who will address the summit on the theme, ‘Positioning HR to create value: Building Indian Multinationals - The HR Agenda’, include Mr R Sankar, executive director & head – people & change consulting, PwC India; Mr Vipin Sondhi, MD & CEO, JCB India; and Mr R Mukundan, managing director, Tata Chemicals.

While Mr Sankar will present the summit overview, Mr Sondhi will deliver the keynote address and speak on ‘Building an HR Agenda for an Organization that Aspires to become Global’.

The event, according to Mr Yogi Sriram, summit director & senior vice-president (leadership planning & talent acquisition), Larsen & Toubro, will focus on “building organisational capabilities for internationalization of business, the organisational architecture and design for making internationalization a success.”

“Companies that have a growth record in the last 10 years and set new expectations for shareholders look for growth opportunities in international markets in order to de-risk the achievement propensity of their strategic plans. This summit examines what HR should be doing to build business in international markets,” he said.

Other eminent speakers who will address the summit include Mr D K Srivastava, VP (corporate HR), HCL Technologies; Dr Anadi Pande, VP (HRM/corporate planning & strategy), Hero Motocorp;  Mr Nalin Singla, head – global rewards, Ranbaxy Laboratories;  Mr P Dwarakanath, director (group human capital) MAX India; Mr A Thirunavukkarasu, president, group HR, Vedanta Sterlite Industries; Mr A V K Mohan, EVP & global head-HR, EXL Service; and Mr Arun Sehgal executive vice-president – HR, GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare.

The summit will consist of six sessions, including a panel discussion, spread over two days.  The topics on which speakers will share their insight in different sessions include ‘challenges of assimilating external lateral talent and adapting them to a company culture’, ‘developing global Indian leaders’, ‘integration issues with inorganic growth’, ‘organizational design and organizational architecture while globalizing’.

The summit will explore through cases studies backed by data and facts stories of success and failure in this journey. “The outcome of the summit will be some thought-provoking strategies on creating and sustaining high performing organisations that proactively build HR capability in tandem with their strategic agenda,” said Mr Sriram.
