National Management Faculty Development Center (NMFDC) -IIM Lucknow has announced the ‘Case Teaching and Writing Workshop’ (CTWW), in collaboration with Ivey Publishing, Canada. The workshop will be held at IIM Lucknow – Noida campus from September 05 to 08, 2017

The biggest challenge that most business schools face today is how to bring the corporate decision-making experience into the classroom as an effective learning pedagogy. To address this urgent training need, IIM Lucknow has launched National Management Faculty Development Center (NMFDC) to ease this crisis, at its Noida campus.

ith the establishment of NMFDC, IIM Lucknow is taking even further the agenda of ‘Better Management Towards Better Nation.’ Dr. Neerja Pande, Professor of Communication, IIM Lucknow and  Executive Head, National Management Faculty Development Centre (NMFDC) IIM Lucknow – NOIDA campus says  “The NMFDC is envisioned as a high quality capacity building Centre for creating and strengthening the knowledge base and pedagogical techniques of faculty of management institutions globally.”

NMFDC has now announced the Case Teaching and Writing Workshop’ (CTWW), in collaboration with Ivey Publishing, Canada. The workshop will be held at IIM Lucknow – Noida campus from September 05 to 08, 2017. It will be the first Case Teaching and Writing Workshop (CTWW), co-hosted with Ivey Publishing, Canada.

Participation fee includes accommodation & course material
The fee payable for participation in NMFDC workshop is Rs. 17700/- . The fee includes Workshop Fee: Rs. 15,000/- + GST @18%; course material by Ivey Publishing; accommodation at IIML Noida campus; food and NMFDC Alumni status on successful completion of the workshop.

Facilitator from Ivey Business School
Professor David J. Sharp, Emeritus Faculty at Ivey Business School at Western University, Ontario, Canada will be the facilitator at the NMFDC work shop.

Prof David earned his Ph.D. in International Management at the MIT Sloan School in 1987. He teaches Managerial Accounting and Control, and International Accounting in the MBA Program and Executive MBA programs. He is active in the American Accounting Association, and served as president of the International Accounting Section in 2001‑02. His publications include scholarly articles in the areas of international financial management, cross-cultural behaviour, and international business ethics

Who can participate?
The NMFDC-Ivey Case Teaching and Writing Workshop (CTWW) is for, though not limited to Faculty in academic institution; Doctoral students; Research scholars; Case researchers and writers; Working professionals  among others.

Boarding and Lodging at IIM Lucknow-Noida campus
Accommodation to participants will be provided at the Executive Centre, IIM Lucknow – NOIDA Campus on a twin-sharing basis. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and other refreshments on all four days (05th, 06th, 07th and 08th September 2017) are included in the fee for the participants.

Learning at Workshop
The work shop sessions will be addressed by Prof David.  Participants will learn from the workshop What is a Case? Setting Objectives, Case Design, The Case Learning Process, Demonstration of Teaching Class, Institutional needs for Case Teaching and Writing. Learn to start to write your own Case – The Opening Paragraph, Confidentiality, Release Process.

It will enhance skills on  Class Preparation, Teacher Preparation, Further Case Development, The Teaching Note, Classroom Preparation, Management Issues, Sourcing Case Leads, Classroom Management, Contribution Evaluation, Student Counselling, Advanced Issues with Case Writing, Further Case Development, Case Teaching Practice among others.

Certificate & Alumni Status of NMFDC-IIML
Participant certificate and NMFDC Alumni status on successful completion of the workshop will be issued by IIM Lucknow - NMFDC.

Applicants need to fill the Application Form and send the scanned copy to [email protected] Participation.  Confirmation will be communicated to the participants after the successful receiving of application form and payment verification. Seats are available on first-cum-first serve basis. IIM Lucknow NMFDC has suggested to make your travel plans only after receiving the confirmation from NMFDC office.

IIM Lucknow, the fourth of the twenty IIMs in the country has taken a bold step by setting up National Management Faculty Development Center to train and equip faculty for 3,500 B-schools in India.
