CAT Result 2017 Delayed; "Not on January 5, but early next week", IIM Lucknow tells MBAUniverse.com

Don't believe the media reports that are telling you to that CAT 2017 Results will be released on January 5. CAT 2017 Results will NOT BE released on January 5, as reports by News 18 or India Today website suggest. Sources at IIM Lucknow, that is conducting CAT 2017, have told MBAUniverse.com last night that CAT 2017 Results will be not be released this week. IIM Lucknow will release the CAT Results "early next week".  

Speaking to MBAUniverse.com, a top official at IIM Lucknow said, "CAT 2017 Result will not be released this week. We have never committed to release on January 5. We will release the results early next week."

This update should put the anxiety of 200,000 lakh MBA aspirants to rest, who are anxiously logging IIM official website after reading media reports suggesting January 5 as CAT Result release date. "CAT Results 2017 expected to be out tomorrow at iimcat.ac.in", reads the headline of India Today article. Similar news items have appeared on other websites like New 18.

How to download the CAT 2017 Result
Immediately, after official declaration of CAT 2017 Result, the first access point is the communication from IIM Lucknow to you. The steps to download your CAT Result are:

Step-1: Immediately after declaration of CAT 2017 exam Result, you will get the following message from HP-IIMCAT, ‘Dear Candidate, Your percentile for CAT 2017 for application number xxxxxx is xxxx.’ This should prompt you to immediately go to the CAT website to login and begin the CAT 2017score card download process

Step-2: Login with registered CAT id and password as existing user on ‘Download Score Card’ on CAT official iimcat website

Step-3: You can view and download your CAT score card now. After downloading it, it is suggested to take print of the CAT 2017 score card as it contains your scaled and percentile scores.
