BCG Chairman Arun Maira to presides over IIM-C Convocation

Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta (IIM-C) will celebrate its 43rd Annual Convocation Ceremony on April 5, 2008.

On the occasion Mr. Arun Maira, Chairman, The Boston Consulting Group (India), will inspire the graduating batch of IIM-C during his convocation address. 

The convocation will be declared open by the Chairman, Board of Governors, Mr. Ajit Balakrishnan after which the graduating batches of various programmes at IIM-C includes Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Aided Management (PGDCM), Post Graduate Programme for Executives (PGPEX) and Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM), Fellow Programme (FP), will be felicitated with their degrees and diplomas.  

On the occasion Prof. Shekhar Chaudhuri, Director IIM-C will also present the Annual Report of IIM-C.  

Mr. Maira received his bachelors and masters degrees in Physics from St. Stephen's College, Delhi University. He worked for 25 years in several senior positions in the Tata Group, India's premier industrial conglomerate. He enjoyed writing and speaking about India and the author of several books on leadership and organisation: The Accelerating Organization, Shaping the Future, Remaking India and Discordant Democrats.
