IIM-A finally announces its PGP admission list; 280 students make it

After a long wait, Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A), has finally announced the results for its two years Post Graduate Programmes (PGP) for the batch of 2008-10 on May 1.

Speaking to MBAUniverse.com, Prof Satish Y Deodhar, PGP Admissions Chairperson at IIM-A said, "We have announced the PGP admissions for the year 2008-10. We have announced result for all categories including conditional offers to students belonging to OBC category. There are total 280 students selected for PGP at IIM-A." 

While sharing the admissions details on the various categories, Prof Deodhar said, "Out of 280 students, we have selected 192 students of general categories; 42 students of SC category; 21 students of ST category and 8 in PWD category. We have made conditional offers to 17 of OBC category students to implement the OBC quota."

“OBC offers are conditional on they submitting the Non-Creamy Layer OBC certificates,” added Prof Deodhar. 

Earlier the IIMs results for the academic year 2008-10 were to be announced on April 11 but they were postponed due to the Supreme Court judgement and intervention by Ministry of HRD on the implementation of the OBC quota. 

“The new session at IIM-A will start at the end of June, 2008”, shared Prof Deodhar.
