The award was presented to Dr. N. M. Kondap, VC-NMIMS by Mr. Adi Godrej, Chairman- Godrej Group during BMA's Annual Awards Presentation Ceremony held on Monday, June 30. The 'Outstanding Student of Management Of The Year Award' was jointly presented to Sneha Saraf of SVKM's NMIMS University and Dipti Padwal of K.J. Somaiya Institute of Mgt Studies & Research.
BMA judges an institute on several criteria including its academic strength, research base, consultancy effectiveness, quality of students produced by it, acceptance in business and industry, endeavor for the all round development of its students through extra-curricular activities, the infrastructure facilities and its contribution to the management development programmes and management movement at large.
Considering the above criteria, BMA found SVKM's NMIMS University as the Outstanding Management Institute for the last five years (2003-2008) for its excellence in the fields of academics and consultancy, for making a mark in the area of research and for giving distinguished alumni to the Indian Corporate world.
