IIM L inaugurates 4th Working Managers Programme at Noida Campus

Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (IIM-L) inaugurated its three-year part time Woking Managers Programme (WMP) for the batch 2008-11 at its Noida Campus on July 1, 2008.

Dr Devi Singh, Director, IIM L inaugurated the WMP programme. Prof Punam Sahgal, Dean Noida Campus, Prof Amit Mookerjee, WMP Chairman, Prof Ajay Singh, Management Development Prgramme (MDP) and CIC and other faculty members were also present on the occasion. 

IIM-L Noida Campus first launched the WMP programme in 2005 along with the launch of the Noida campus. It is aimed at professionals having minimum three years of work experience. IIM-L shared with MBAUniverse.com that WMP programme is drawing good support from industry and participants. There has been a rise in number of applicants.  

Inaugurating the programme, Dr Devi Singh said, "Our WMP is shaping well. It's a unique to programme for working executives who want to grow and move up the corporate ladder. Today's business world is very dynamic and full of challenges of change. A programme like WMP aims to equip its participants to handle this, and add value to their organization."  

He added, "IIM-L's Noida Campus is unique amongst all IIMs. It's the first initiative of its kind to connect with the industry and add more value to IIM-L brand name. We are well on our way."  

Introducing the WMP programme, Dr Amit Mookerjee said, "The WMP will help its students become management leaders and change agents to take leadership roles in the global arena. The programme is as rigiorous as a full time MBA."
