Dr Deepak Pental, Vice Chancellor, Delhi University delivered the Convocation Address. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Nirmal Jain, CMD, India Infoline and Mr. M. Venugopalan, MD & CEO, Federal Bank. Accman Institute of Management's Chairman Mr Arun Singh and Director Prof Rajiv Kumar were present on the occasion.
While delivering the Convocation Address at the Accman Institute of Management, Greater Noida, for the PGDBM students, Prof. Deepak Pental said, "We have survived as a nation, because we started with great idealism, the best of the ideals of the world, democratic structure."
He further added, "Our founding fathers, who wrote the constitution made it into republic. They had this great thought that this country with huge amount of diversity should be secular, pluralist and liberal society where human rights are respected." Talking about Management education, he said, "Students have been taught to be sprinters in MBA schools. We need to have all kinds of people: sprinters and long distance runners. MBAs should be both."
Ending his speech he said, "India can become a great nation only by building very strong institutions in a secular, pluralist and liberal world."
Mr. Nirmal Jain, CMD, India Infoline, who was also present at the occasion, said, "Ups and downs are like day and night. We have been analyzing economy, market, but I can say that there is no country like India in terms of growth to absorb young and give fascinating career."
Mr. M. Venugopalan, MD & CEO, Federal Bank said "In today's competitive world, professional education has a role in shaping the future leaders and managers of tomorrow. Higher education has become a necessity to lay a strong foundation to achieve excellence in all spears of life. I truly believe ACCMAN is such an institute."
