IGNOU to hold management entrance exam OPENMAT on February 01

The School of Management Studies of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is holding the Entrance Test – OPENMAT on February 01, 2009 for its various Management Programmes for sessions starting from July 2009.

According to IGNOU, "The admission to Management Programmes of IGNOU is done through OPENMAT Entrance Examinations, held twice a year."

The management programmes that IGNOU offers are Programs Master of Business Administration (MBA) Diploma in Management (DIM) Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDIM) Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (PGDHRM) Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management (PGDFM) Post Graduate Diploma in Operations Management (PGDOM) Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management (PGDMM).

According to the information from IGNOU, "The OPENMAT held on first Sunday of February and August every year. The test paper will be multiple-choice answers questions which is having four sections. The sections are: English Language, General Knowledge, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning."

The Entrance Test is being organized in 133 Examination Centres accommodating 22637 candidates for Management Programme.

Staring its operations in 1987, with the launch of Diploma in Management as the pilot programme of IGNOU, the School of Management Studies (SOMS) offers 9 programmes in Management.
