IIM A, IIT-M, JBIMS, MICA to contest for international marketing game L’Oreal Brandstorm

L’Oreal, the world’s leading cosmetics company, has invited students from selected Indian B-schools to participate in the India edition of Brand Storm, its international marketing competition where the students take on the role of a brand manager.

This fifteenth edition of L'Oréal Brandstorm is played out in 35 countries including India.  

The National Finals for Brandstorm will be held on 27 March 2007 at Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS), Mumbai. The teams are from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai and Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad. 

The participation process for this global contest was kicked off earlier this year. Contestants were asked to submit ‘pre-case’ note by January 11th 2007. The ‘Briefing Day at L' Oréal’ was February 12th 2007. Now it’s the turn of finalists to prove their mettle in National Finals on March 27th

According to L’Oreal the competition provides an opportunity for marketing students to unleash their creativity and to apply their ideas to one of the Group's international brands. 

The winners of the National Final will be invited to Paris to compete against the national winning teams from 135 countries and present their Marketing Strategies to L'Oréal's CEO, Jean-Paul Agon, who, together with other L'Oréal Top Executive Management, sits on the L'Oréal Brandstorm Jury. Apart from winning cash prizes the winning team can start their career as Brand Managers for L’Oreal.
