It is said that history repeats itself. The same happened with CAT 2011 registrations. Like last year, this year too, just when it was a week left for the CAT Voucher Sale and the CAT registrations, it was announced that the dates of CAT 2011 Voucher Sale and registrations have been extended. After the extension of dates, the CAT vouchers will now be available till Saturday, October 1, 2011. The registration process will go on till Tuesday, October 4, 2011.

Talking to MBAUniverse.com, Prof. Janakiraman Moorthy, CAT 2011 Convener said, “Due to the developments like joining of IITs and FMS, there was an upsurge in the registrations. Hence, to accommodate the registration of all the CAT 2011 aspirants we have decided to extend the dates of the registrations.”

The previous deadlines of CAT 2011 Voucher Sale and registration were Monday, September 26, 2011 and Wednesday, September 28, 2011.

Last year too, the voucher sale and registration deadlines were extended by a week. The Voucher Sale, which was originally scheduled to end on Monday, September 27, 2010 was extended till Thursday, September 30. And the registration for CAT 2010, the last date of which was Thursday, September 30, 2010, was extended by a week to Thursday, October 7, 2010.

Advising to the CAT 2011 candidates, Prof. Moorthy said, “Be very careful during the registrations. Submit the correct information in all the fields. Be very accurate while providing your marks.” He also added, “Before registering, check whether you are eligible or not. If you lack the requisite percentage in graduation, don’t register or come for taking the test. Don’t consider the CAT 2011 exam as a practice test.”
