Representatives of leading French B-school ESSEC will be visiting various Indian cities to enthuse Indian students to apply for its MBA programme.

Admission into ESSEC B-school will then allow Indian students to apply for French government scholarship programme.

The Eiffel Excellence Programme, funded by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs offers grants to outstanding International students that French higher education institutions have identified as especially deserving of a place on their courses. The Eiffel programme provides students with a monthly allowance of  EURO 1031 for year 2007, and covers various additional expenses including travel, health insurance and cultural activities.

In past Indian students have done well to get this scholarship. ESSEC representative informed MBAUniverse.com, “In 2007 ESSEC has admitted six students from India in its ESSEC MBA program. 3 out of 4 who had applied for grants have been awarded a scholarship from the French Authorities to complete their MBA degree at our school.”

Applications for Eiffel grants are submitted by French Higher Education Institutions.

Applications are not accepted from students themselves, or from non-French institutions.

“Once admitted into the ESSEC MBA Program, which is scheduled for end of November 2007, students will be emailed a copy of the Eiffel application file, pre-filled by ESSEC in accordance with your curriculum at ESSEC,” informs ESSEC representative.

ESSEC has planned its first 1st recruitment session for October 2007 in order to allow International Students to apply for an EIFFEL Scholarship, once they have been admitted to ESSEC. ESSEC says that applications need to be submitted by October 8.
