India on Top! ISB & IIM-I teams part of ‘10 most innovative teams in the world’

When it comes to business thinking and planning, Indian management students can compete with the very best in the world.

That’s what student teams from Indian School of Business, Hyderabad and Indian Institute of Management, Indore (IIM-I) have shown at global competition ‘Innovation Challenge’. Two teams from ISB and one from IIM-I have made it to the finals of Innovation Challenge, thus becoming part of ‘10 most innovative teams in the world.’ The finals will be held this weekend in US.  

IIM-I team comprises of Amit Srivastava, Rajat Hooda and Vivek Iyer. Prashant G. Nishant P., Sushant B., Pushkar Jain, Meghna R. form team 1 from ISB, while Jaspreet Sidhu, Anand Narasimhan, Rao K., Kiran kumar Alla., Ankush Wadhera form team 2.

The Innovation Challenge (http://www.innovationchallenge.com ) is the largest competition of its kind in the world, where hundreds of teams from the top 100 MBA programs worldwide participate alongwith the big global brands in a competition designed to solve real-world business challenges. This year a total of 287 teams from 57 countries and 63 schools are competing in the event. Some of the participating B-schools include Yale School of Management, University of California at Los Angeles, MIT Sloan School of Management, the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley. The wining team will win the prestigious title of the ‘Most Innovative MBA team in the World’.

Happy with the performance of its students, IIM-I says, “They are the first team from any of the IIMs to have been invited to the final round of this event in its history. The prestige attached to the event can be gauged from the fact that competition sees participation from institutions like the Stanford Graduate School of Business, Harvard Business School, and London School of Business among other eminent MBA institutes worldwide.”
