T. A. Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) is all set to announce the Admissions-2015 to its 3 flagship 2-year fully residential Post Graduate Programs viz., PGDM, PGDM-Health Care Management (HCM) and PGDM-Banking and Financial Services (BKFS) during first fortnight of October and will tentatively commence registration process from October 13, 2014. 

 

Prospectus available off line/online: submission only on-line

 

Aspirants desirous of seeking admission at TAPMI will be able to obtain admission prospectus  on or off-line, but submission will be completely online only.  Although the exact dates will be announced shortly the admission process would begin on October 13, 2014.

 

Application fee

 

The Application fee is Rs. 1,500 but if a candidate applying for two or three programs, he/she has to pay Rs. 2,500 or Rs. 3,500 along with the form.

 

PGDM programmes and intake at TAPMI

 

Following PGDM programmes will be offered at TAPMI for PGDM batch 2015-17. All the programmes are AICTE approved. However, the filling up of these seats will be subject to availability of suitable candidates who will undergo the rigorous selection process.

PGDM specialization at TAPMI

 

TAPMI Manipal doesn’t propose to introduce any new programme in 2015. According to Prof Chowdary Prasad, dean (PR) & Chairman Admissions, TAPMI Manipal “No new Programs is proposed to be introduced in 2015.  Specialisation of courses in Finance/Marketing/HR/IT/ Operations will be announced to the students at the end of 1st year.”

 

Exam Scores accepted for admission at TAPMI

 

Applicants are required to take at least one of the 3 following Admission Tests for admission in PGDM and PGDM-BKFS at TAPMI

 

CAT 2014: To be conducted by IIMs on 16 & 22 November 2014,

 

XAT 2015: To be conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur, on 4 January, 2015

 

GMAT ( 2 years): Conducted and to be conducted by GMAC

 

Registering for CAT 2014/XAT 2015 is a prerequisite for applying to TAPMI. Candidates may register for both of the admission tests. The better of the two scores will be considered by TAPMI.

 

Apart from the above test scores, candidates seeking admission in PGDM (Health Care Management) can also submit their MAT scores of AIMA.  

 

Eligibility for PGDM at TAPMI

 

To be eligible, an applicant has to have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (10+2+3). Students in the final year of graduation can also apply. TAPMI will accept CAT 2014, XAT 2015 and GMAT scores as well.

 

Healthcare Management Program will be limited to candidates with medical and para-medical qualifications.  Similarly, in respect of BKFS Program, preference will be given to candidates with background of Commerce / Economics (Graduate / Post Graduate), CA, ICWA or CS.

 

Shortlisting criteria at TAPMI

 

PGDM and PGDM-BKFS candidates will have to possess high percentile scores in CAT-2014, XAT-2015 and GMAT(two years) while HCM candidates may also submit their MAT scores of AIMA to get shortlisted for final admission round at TAPMI. 

 

According to Prof Chowdary Prasad “TAPMI follows profile based shortlisting of candidates for all its three programs. While there is no special treatment for gender diversity, aspects like Academics, Work-Experience, will have due weightages in final selection, besides performance at WAT and Personal Interviews.”   

 

Components of GDPI

 

WAT and Personal Interview will be given weightage in PI round for admission 2015 at TAPMI.

 

Fee structure

 

PGDM and PGDM(BKFS) Programmes

 

The current academic fee for two years payable by students admitted for the PGDM Programmes is Rs. 13.5 lakhs  including Hostel fees and excluding monthly food bill approx. Rs.3500/- .

 

PGDM - Healthcare Management

 

The current academic fee for two years payable by students admitted for the PGDM - Healthcare Programme is Rs. 9.5 lakhs including Hostel fees and excluding monthly food bill approx. Rs.3500/- .

 

Above fee structure is subject to change.
