S P Jain Institute of management & Research (SPJIMR) Mumbai, one of the highly ranked B schools in India will be closing its admission 2015 application process for PGDM 2015-17 batch on Sunday Nov 30, 2014. Only one day is left to apply for admission 2015 in this coveted Mumbai based B school.
SPJIMR Mumbai opened the admission 2015 application process on September 17, 2014 and as declared in the initially published announcement by the B school the process will close on Nov 30, 2014.
Good opportunity for XAT 2015 aspirants
SPJIMR will shortlist the candidates for admission 2015 both on the basis of CAT 2014 and XAT 2015 exam scores. The candidates who have not been able to fare so well in CAT 2014 have the opportunity to apply for XAT 2015 till December 8, 2014. XAT 2015 aspirants can apply to SPJIMR today and register for XAT 2015 by Dec 8 and further improve their percentile to explore admission opportunities in SPJIMR. Please remember to be eligible to be considered for admission 2015 at SPJIMR, candidates have to ensure that they apply online to SPJIMR latest by Nov 30, 2014.
Usually the last minute technical problems flare up due to the rush of the candidates preferring to apply at the eleventh hour. The MBA/PGDM aspirants for 2015-17 batch must therefore apply well before the close of the online application process in SPJIMR on Nov 30, 2014.
SPJIMR to accept CAT 2014, XAT 2015 Scores
Like other top rated B schools, SPJIMR will accept CAT 2014, XAT 2015 scores for Indian Nationals and GMAT scores for foreign nationals. Aspirants who explore admission opportunity in SPJIMR need to score high sectional as well as overall percentile in these exams.
While Common Admission Test (CAT) 2014 is over, the admission opportunity through XAT 2015 scores still exists. XAT 2015 gateway of admission to XLRI, SPJIMR and other associated B schools will be conducted on January 4, 2015 in 47 cities across the country in a single session. XAT 2015 will be a paper pencil mode test of 3 hours duration. Registration for XAT 2015 will remain open till December 8, 2014.

Aspirants seeking admission to PGDM 2015-17 at SPJIMR, must complete and submit the application form online till Nov 30, 2014.
Application fee is Rs. 1200/- (Rs One thousand two hundred only). The fee can be paid through credit card or net banking
SPJIMR offers choice of specialization at application stage
Applicants to PGDM admission 2015-17 batch at SPJIMR need to opt for two specializations at the time of submitting application. Selecting 2 options at this stage means that the aspirants who are not short listed for the first option will be considered for the second option. The outcome of the first option will have no bearing on the process for considering the applicant for the second option.
Apart from Scores, profile is also the selection criterion
Apart from high overall as well as sectional percentiles in CAT 2014 and XAT 2015, candidates with excellent academic profile and work experience will be preferred in admission 2015 at SPJIMR.
The selection process for admission to PGDM 2015-17 batch will assess not only the intellectual readiness in terms of academics but also emotional readiness, work experience, extracurricular activities and aptitude for and befitting the institute’s mission of value based leadership.
Intake at SPJIMR
The flagship PGDM programme 2015-17 at SPJIMR will have an intake of 240 for Indian Nationals An additional 36 seats will be available for PIO/OCI and Foreign Nationals. Hence the total intake for session 2015-16 will be 276 seats
40% Girls in SPJIMR
Dr Atish Kumar Chattopadhyay, Dy Director PGDM, SPJIMR has emphasized that SPJIMR has maintained 40% ratio of Girl students in admissions at SPJIMR on merits only. There is no extra weightage or reservation for girl candidates and all of them are offered admission only on merit grounds.
SPJIMR Marks Global footprint
All the participants of 2015-17 batch at SPJIMR will have an international exposure in leading top US- B-schools like Purdue, Cornell, MSU, Maryland, Olin and others. The batch of 2014-2016 will be the first PGDM batch in which all participants will go for an international immersion, which is now formally called the Global Fast Track (GFT).
