IIM-B to hold workshop on CSR

The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM-B), along with British Council and ICCSR, is organizing a Workshop on Corporate Social Responsibility.

The workshop is scheduled to be held at the IIM-B Campus on January 3-4, 2008. The keynote address will be given by Mr Prasad Chandran, CMD, BASF SouthAsia.  

The workshop will draw insights from Prof Jeremy Moon, Director, International Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility, Nottingham University Business School and Mr Chris Gibson, Director, British Council South India.

The two-day workshop will spread over various sessions including roll out sessions, panel discussions, Valedictory Session for IIMB-Tata Steel Awards for Best CSR Cases and case presentations on the issues related to the Corporate Social Responsibility.  

The workshop will hold the panel discussion on the issues including in Corporate Ethics and Leadership, Towards an Organizational Culture of Responsibility, National Contexts as CSR Determinants, Teaching Sustainability and Teaching Governance & Ethics.

These issues will be discussed by eminent panelists including Prof N Balasubramanian (Chair); Mr Dileep Ranjekar – CEO, Azim Premji Foundation; Ms Hema Hattangady - Vice-Chair and CEO, Conzerve Systems; Mr Arvind Jadhav, IAS - GAIL India; Mr Harish Ahuja - Tata Group; Ms Jyotsna Belliappa - Marks & Spencer; Dr Ashish Ambastha – ITC; Mr Viraf Mehta, CEO – Partners in Change and Ms Shailaja Sharma – Shell.
