How to choose the 5 preferred B schools

So far as choosing the best B schools is concerned, following parameters could be taken into account-

• Legacy of the B school, how old it is

• Alumni base of the B school

• Infrastructure

• Learning Experience, quality of faculty

• Teacher student ratio

• Programmes offered

• Fee structure

• Industry Interface

• Placement prospects

• Other USPs. For example if the B school offers different kind of specialized MBA/PGDM programme than the regular ones as UPES Dehradun, EDI Ahmedabad and the likes offer, you may be going to be an MBA with a difference and may pursue your career prospects according to your choice.

Please note you are not left with much time and by the end of the day on May 15, 2015 you have to submit the 5 preferred choices where you think your scores should be sent by AIMA.

MAT 2015: Catering to 600 B schools

Apart from other All India MBA/PGDM entrance exams like CAT/XAT/CMAT, MAT is also a standardised test. The exam is being administered since 1988 to facilitate B-Schools to screen candidates for admission to MBA and allied programmes. Govt. of India, Ministry of HRD approved MAT as a National Level test in 2003. Any B-School-national or international can consider MAT Score as an admission input based on the Score Cards issued to the candidates.

AIMA claims MAT as the largest test of its kind in the nation. More than 600 institutes across India accept MAT scores. On February 18, 2013 Hon’ble Supreme Court of India allowed the petition to continue MAT as an entrance test to PGDM institutes.

MAT is a national level entrance test for admission to PGDM institutes where thousands of the aspirants test their skills. The test is conducted by AIMA (All India Management Association). Usually there are 4 MAT tests in a year viz February, May, September and December.  MAT scores are considered for admission by number of management institutes offering PGDM programmes which are equivalent to MBA.

MAT 2015: Either Offline or Online

AIMA provided the test takers to choose one of the two options to appear in May MAT 2015. Candidates could appear either in paper-pencil mode examination or in online computer based test. However no candidate was allowed to exercise both the options.

While the May MAT 2015 for Paper pencil mode was conducted on May 3, 2015, for Computer based test it was held on May 9, 2015 onwards in different time slots.
