One of India's leading test-prep company, IMS Learning Resources shared with MBAUniverse.com how their students have fared in CAT 07, and what inputs it is offering for the GD/PI rounds. According to IMS Learning, more than 2000 IMS students have got calls from IIMs. What's more, four IMS students have hit the jackpot and have got 100 percentiles in CAT 07.
IMS Learning told MBAUniverse.com, "The calls have started pouring in. We are still in the process of collating the data of all our students. As of now we have more than 2000 calls."
To boost the chances of potential candidates, IMS is offering more attention for the upcoming GD PI round. It is holding The Achievers' Workshop, a two-day exclusive workshop for students who have received calls from the IIMs and/or other Top B-schools. "We conduct special Achievers' Workshop in 5 cities in India where students from other cities/towns travel down to the venue," said IMS.
Sharing the reason behind this initiative, said IMS Learning, "We want to create a real simulation for our students and better interaction with the competition. The workshop has 10 man years of effort & expertise and the workshop is conducted by top B-School alumni and communication experts," informs IMS.
IMS workshop being conducted in Delhi (19th & 20th Jan); Bangalore (26th & 27th Jan); Mumbai (26th & 27th Jan); Kolkata (26th & 27th Jan) and Chennai (2nd & 3rd Feb). The workshop is designed into 8 sessions include – 'B-school Overview'; 'Multi-focus grounding sessions with experts'; 'Meeting Past Achievers'; 'GD Prep Warm-up'; 'GD Fundamental Training'; 'Exploring GD Topics'; 'GD Simulation' and 'PI Simulation'.
The students who received the calls from leading B-schools like IIMs, XLRI Jamshedpur, FMS Delhi, SP Jain, IIFT, NITIE, MDI, IIT B-Schools, ISB Hyderabad and IRMA are eligible for Achievers' Workshop.
