Pramit Arora, Rajat Jain and Sanuj Mittal of Delhi are among the 17 candidates including a female who have scored 100 percentile in CAT 2015 out of the total 179602 candidates who appeared in the exam held on November 29, 2015. 2 out of the 3 with 100 percentile in CAT 2015 are the IIT Delhi students while one is studying in the final year at Delhi Technological University.

Last year Delhi girl Neha Manglick an engineering student at BITS Pilani brought the proud moments for her family and the City of Delhi by breaking the past record in CAT and creating history on becoming the lone female 100 percentiler in CAT.

While Pramit and Rajat are the students of IIT Delhi, Sanuj is the only student from Delhi Technological University (DTU) who has achieved this great feat of scoring 100 percentile in CAT 2015.

Sanuj has already been shortlisted by IIM Ahmedabad and has a clear goal to choose IIMA as its first choice. He expected to score above 99 but getting 100 percentile is sure an achievement as he had doubts about his score in VARC the first section in CAT 2015 exam although the DILR and Quant are his strongholds in which he was almost sure of getting the highest percentile score.

Sanuj Mittal is in final year of Electrical & Electronic (E&E) engineering at DTU where the placement process begins shortly. He proposes to participate in the process and secure a good job before the final admission rounds at IIMA, IIMB, IIMC are over.

Since these IIMs with a view to improve academic diversity in their class rooms in forthcoming PGP 2016-18 batch have reduced the weightage to CAT 2015 scores while generating the final merit list, Sanuj will have to prepare very hard for Academic Writing Test (AWT) & Personal Interview (PI) round of IIM Ahmedabad to score high and get a place in final merit list of his most preferred B-school.

Rajat Jain is also a final year student at IIT Delhi and is pursuing B.Tech in Civil Engineering. He thinks to secure first a job and go for deferred admission at IIMA, IIMB or IIMC. Although shortlisted by IIMA, he is yet to decide between going for MBA now or go for it later after gaining 1 or 2 years experience so that MBA could yield more in his life in terms of learning experience and clarity on career.

Pramit Arora also is from IIT Delhi and has already got a decent job. Whether he joins one of the top rated IIMs or will continue with the startup is yet to be decided.

CAT 2015 result was declared in the evening on Friday January 8, 2016. There were 16 cadndidates in CAT 2014 scoring 100 percentile and this number was the highest as compared to earlier CAT exams. CAT 2015 result has crossed the past year’s record with 17 candidates including one female scoring perfect 100 percentile although all are from engineering back ground.

CAT 2015 is the mandatory exam for admission to 19 IIMs in their PGP 2016-18 batch. IIMs propose to shortlist around 55000 candidates for final admission round. The final admission offer is proposed to be made to around 5000 students by IIMs in PGP 2016-18 batch.

CAT 2015 was held on Nov 29, 2015 with a registration of 218664 candidates out of which 179602 appeared in the exam. 1814 candidates have scored 99+ percentile, 9003 have scored 95+ percentile in CAT 2015.  Most of the IIMs in accordance with their admission policy for PGP 2016-18 have announced the shortlists of candidates for the PI round.
