MAT 2016 exam offers last chance to seek admission in MBA 2016 and will close the registration process on April 19

MAT 2016 exam on Sunday May 1, offers last chance to seek admission in MBA 2016 in a preferred B-school across the country. The registration and application process for MAT 2016 May exam is proposed to close on April 19 both in online and offline mode. The last date for sale of offline forms has been restricted by AIMA to April 16, 2016.

Tomorrow April 16 will be the last day for those who wish to purchase application form in offline mode and from AIMA office or from designated centres. The form can be submitted till April 19, 2016.

Candidates exploring admission in MBA/PGDM 2016-18 batch can encash the opportunity to do MBA by registering and applying for MAT 2016 May exam.

Know the key dates and application process

Online process
The candidates who complete the Online Registration by Uploading digital image of photograph, Uploading digital image of signature, and making Online payment the last date to apply is April 19, 2016. Candidates are not required to send the print out of the application form or payment details in this case.

Offline process
The candidates who affix the photograph and sign the printout (Hardcopy) of Registration Form and who make the payment through Demand Draft (DD) or make Online Payment and also the candidates who purchase the Registration Form against cash payment from AIMA, New Delhi, the last date for Online Filling-up/ Purchase of Form is April 16, 2016.

However the last Date for Submission of duly completed Printout of Registration Form at AIMA, New Delhi is April 19, 2016.

For this mode candidates have to send the Printout of Registration Form. DD is also to be sent along with the Printout of the Registration Form, if payment was made through DD.

Don’t wait for the last date: Apply now
Candidates choosing to apply at the last moment may not rule out technical glitches in the online mode and postal delays in the offline mode. There is no point waiting for the avoidable last minute rush and getting your application fee stuck and then running from pillar to post to get the things put in order. MAT 2016: Opportunity in JBIMS & other Mah B-schools
Apart from the B-schools in Delhi NCR and all other states in India, all the B-schools in Maharashtra including JBIMS propose to accept MAT 2016 scores. Accordingly, more admission opportunities in Maharashtra B schools can be explored with MAT 2016 scores.

Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra the regulator of technical and management education in Maharashtra state has already clarified that it would accept MAT scores also, in its admission process for MBA/MMS 2016-18 batch across Maharashtra B schools.

3 modes to pay and apply
The registration application fee for MAT May 2016 is Rs 1200/-. Candidate can choose any one of the following modes to register and apply for MAT May 2016

Online
You may register online at AIMA website link for MAT May 2016 and can pay through Credit Card/Debit Card (ATM Card)/Net Banking

By Demand draft
Candidates can obtain crossed Demand Draft (DD) of Rs 1200/- (One thousand two hundred only) in favour of ‘All India Management Association’ payable at Delhi from any Bank. Then they can register online at AIMA website. You should fill up the registration form alongwith the DD details.

Offline: Pay cash
Candidates can obtain Form with MAT Bulletin/CD against cash payment of Rs 1200/- (One thousand two hundred only) from listed Nodal Centres of AIMA OR from AIMA, New Delhi.

Facility of choosing 5 top B schools
MAT May 2016 registration and application process has provided the facility of filling up 5 free choices of Management Institutes in order of preference in the application form.

Choice of Offline or Online exam
AIMA provides two options to appear in MAT 2016 May exam. Candidates can appear either in paper-pencil mode examination or in online computer based test. However no candidate can exercise both the options.

Testing window: MAT 2016
Test dates for Paper pencil mode and for Computer based test in MAT 2016 would be different as follows. Candidates can opt for either of the two but will not be allowed to appear in both type of exams.

Paper pencil mode
MAT 2016 May exam in Paper pencil mode will be conducted on Sunday May 1, 2016. The test will be of 150 minutes and will be conducted from 10 AM to 12.30 PM.

Computer Based online test
Candidates opting for CBT online test will be required to appear in the test from Saturday May 7, 2016 onwards. The test will be held in different time slots subject to availability. According to AIMA ‘If the number of candidates registered for Computer Based Test is limited and can be accommodated in a single day; the test will be completed on 07 May 2016 itself.’  It implies that in case there is more number of candidates the test may be conducted in the forthcoming days as well.

51 centres for paper pen test
Out of 63 test cities in India and abroad, MAT 2016 May exam in computer based test form will be conducted only at 12 centres. Rest of the test centres will have the facility of paper pen based test. Besides, the venues for paper pencil mode test and computer based tests will also be different from one another.
