KMAT 2016: Mock Test and Test Guide live on May 2; Available free only to registered candidates

Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA), after announcing that KMAT 2016 exam on May 29 will be held in all parts of India for the first time, has also decided to publish full Mock Test and Exam GUIDE to help test-takers.

The sample test for KMAT 2016 will be made available from May 2. However, only candidates who are registered for KMAT 2016 can have access to the MOCK Test and preparation Guide. Announcing the decision, Dr M Prakash, Secretary, KPPGCA said, “To help candidates, KMAT Mock Test & Guide to prepare for the exam will be available online free of cost, for registered candidates from May 2, 2016.” Candidates who have registered for KMAT 2016 can have access to Mock Test and Guide through their KMAT Username & Password.

Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) 2016 is the gateway to MBA/PGDM/MCA programmes in 170 institutes located in Bangalore and Karnataka. This is the first time that KMAT is conducted as National test offering equal admission opportunity to all the candidates across India. Registration for KMAT 2016 closes on May 10, 2016.

Conventional Paper Pencil test
KMAT 2016 will be conducted as conventional paper pencil based test to offer equal opportunity to all the candidates.  The test will consist of 120 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The entire test paper will be divided in 4 sections namely Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension with 40 questions; Quantitative Ability with 40 questions; Logical Reasoning with 20 questions and General Awareness with 20 questions.

Marking scheme as announced by KPPGCA, will carry equal marks for each correct answer with 1/4 negative marking for every wrong answer. The questions on General Awareness will also carry equal weightage and thus playing an important role in getting high rank in merit.

GK to test the understanding of surrounding
The questions on General Awareness are proposed to be formed to test the General understanding of social, economic, business etc. environment and General Knowledge of the candidates as is expected from an educated person living in the society.

Registration opportunity to close on May 10
Registrations for KMAT 2016 are to close on May 10, 2016. Thousands of candidates from all parts of India have registered for KMAT 2016. Test centers are allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis. To avoid missing test-seat in their city of choice, candidates should register immediately as seats in the key test cities are filling up fast.

Lowest application fee
KMAT 2016 exam registration can be completed by paying registration fee of Rs.700/- only. Registration can be done on official KMAT website www.KmatIndia.com. Candidates can register both in the online as well as offline mode by making payment through bank draft.

Equal opportunity for All India candidates
KPPGCA will conduct KMAT 2016 on May 29, 2016 as All India exam all across the country. The registration for KMAT 2016 is open to candidates from all parts of India and Abroad without any regional restrictions. Candidates from all parts of India who meet the eligibility criteria can take this test in any part of the country. Few of the test centres where KMAT 2016 is proposed to be conducted include Bangalore, Calcutta, Delhi/NCR, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Lucknow, Patna and Pune.

Admission opportunity in 170 institutes
KMAT 2016 scores will be accepted by more than 170 AICTE-approved and UGC-affiliated institutes offering MBA, PGDM and MCA programmes in 2016 in Bangalore and Rest of Karnataka State. Participating institutes include Acharya Institute of Management and Sciences (AIMS), Alliance University, IFIM Business School, MP Birla Institute, M.S. Ramaiah, Mount Carmel, PESIT among others.

Last Opportunity
KMAT 2016 will facilitate Business Schools to screen candidates for admission to MBA, PGDM and MCA programs.  The exam offers the last opportunity for admission to MBA in academic session 2016-17 in renowned Bangalore and rest of Karnataka institutes.
