Notification for IIFT entrance exam for MBA (IB) 2017-19 batch will be released between July 11 and 16, 2016

Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) proposes to release the notification for MBA (IB) 2017-19 entrance exam between July 11 to 16. The exam is scheduled on November 27, 2016 from 10AM to 12 Noon.
According to IIFT  ‘Release of advertisement/Availability of Brochure and application form on IIFT’s website will be from second week of July’  and the ‘Written examination will be held on 4th Sunday of November from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon’

The registration process for IIFT entrance exam which starts from second week of July will close in the 1st week of September, 2016.

IIFT will be conducting its National Level Admission Test for MBA (IB) batch 2017-19 at its Delhi and Kolkata campuses. The admission test is proposed to be conducted in paper pencil mode in 20 cities across the country.

How to apply
IIFT will offer the facility of application both online as well as off line. However the last date of submission of completed application forms in either mode will remain the same in the 1st week of September, 2016. Any candidate who is a graduate and can produce the proof of his qualification before October 2017 is eligible to appear.

Eligibility
-- Recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years’ duration in any discipline.

-- Candidates appearing for a qualifying examination can also apply subject to submission of proof of requisite qualification by beginning of October of the year of start of the course.

-- No age limit to appear in IIFT entrance exam.

How to apply on-line
Online registration for IIFT entrance exam will open alongwith the release of notification. The application fee is Rs.1550/- (under revision). For IIFT 2016 registration, candidates are required to visit IIFT website and register themselves with their mail id. The online form for IIFT 2016 registration will be available thereat. The form is to be filled in as per the given instructions. Further the print-out of the Form has to be taken out and the candidates are required to attach their photograph and sign the form as instructed. The print out along with the necessary enclosures has to be sent to IIFT so as to reach there on or before the last date.

Off line application
IIFT 2016 registration can also be done in off-line mode. The application fee is Rs.1550/- (Under revision). The candidates can also buy the Prospectus in cash or through demand draft. They need to complete the enclosed Application Form and send the same in the envelope provided for the purpose to the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, so as to reach IIFT on or before the last date.

Candidates should retain a photocopy of the completed form and Demand Draft for future reference.

IIFT exam pattern
IIFT MBA (IB) admission 2017 entrance test will be a paper pencil mode, multiple choice objective type written test (in English) consisting of questions covering English Comprehension, General Knowledge & Awareness, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Analysis.

Test will be 2 hours duration from 10 AM to 12 noon.

Test Centres
The test will be held across the country at 20 test centres namely, Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bhubeneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Dehradun, Delhi, Guwahati, Hydrabad, Indore, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur and Visakhapatnam.

IIFT admission process
Based on the marks obtained in the Written Test, a limited number of candidates will be called for second phase of admission process consisting Essay Writing, Group Discussion and Interview. The GDPIWAT process for admission to IIFT is expected to be held in January/February 2017 at Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow and Mumbai.

IIFT Intake
Currently 220 students are admitted to MBA (IB) at IIFT Delhi campus and 140 at IIFT Kolkata campus.

IIFT Fee structure
Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) has not yet finally decided its fee structure for 2017-19 batch.  However, the current tuition fee is Rs.7 lacs per year. Since it is a 2 years programme, the total tuition fee would be Rs. 14 lacs. Apart from this other charges to the tune of Rs. 50 thousand towards computer facility, internet, library,  alumni charges and IMF (student body) are also to be paid by the students in the first and second year.  The fee can be paid in 3 installments every year. It is expected that an amount of Rs.50,000/- will be added to the tuition fee to study MBA (IB) at IIFT.

Hostel charges at IIFT are Rs. 47000 and Rs. 57000 per year for triple and double occupancy accommodation respectively. Since MBA (IB) is a full time residential programme all the students have to opt for hostel accommodation at IIFT.

IIFT is a deemed University and MBA (International Business) at IIFT is a six trimester management programme with a focus on International Business for developing a competent cadre of business executives to meet the country's growing requirements for trained personnel in the field of International Business Management. IIFT offers MBA in International Business at its Delhi, Kolkata and Institute of Finance Management (IFM), Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania campuses.
