The School Of Management through its flagship Master of Management (M.Mgmt) programme seeks to develop managers for an integrated understanding of all business functions. The rigorous curriculum of the Master of Management programme has a judicious blend of courses that provide an in-depth understanding of the operational and strategic aspects of management.

One unique feature of the program is that apart from the regular courses on Finance, Accounting, Operations and HR, SJM SOM prepares for technology management with core courses like Technology Policy, R&D Management and Managing technology transfer. Also, innovative courses like "Mission, Vision and Leadership" provide opportunity for the student to work under the mentorship of Indian Business leaders and to hone their leadership skills.

Admissions Process

A] Eligibility Criteria for the course Master of Management 2017-19:

1. A four year Bachelor’s degree or a Master’s degree in any discipline  with  first class or 60% marks (55% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) in aggregate (including all years/semesters) or a minimum CPI of 6.5 (6 in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) out of 10

2. CA/ICWA, with a first class Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline having secured 60% marks (55% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) in aggregate (including all years/semesters) or a minimum CPI of 6.5 (6 in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) out of 10.

3. Applicants appearing for the final year of the degree examination and those who have completed the degree requirements and awaiting results can also apply. The admission in such cases will be subject to their fulfilling the minimum eligibility criteria as stated in (1) or (2) , at the time of joining the course.

4. A candidate holding a foreign passport and does not have an Indian passport should have cleared TOEFL or IELTS.

Admission/Selection Process for Domestic Candidates

The selection of the candidates for admission to the Master of Management programme 2017-19 batch will be carried out in two phases.
In the first phase, the eligible candidates as per the eligibility criteria [A] mentioned above will be shortlisted for Writing Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) from among the candidates, who have applied to the M.Mgt programme.  The candidate must have a valid CAT 2016 score securing a minimum section-wise and aggregate percentile scores in CAT 2016 

The shortlist of candidates to be called for appearing in the WAT (Written Ability Test) and PI (Personal Interview) will be on the basis of their composite score
