At last, AICTE has released the notification for CMAT 2016 exam today on November 1, 2015 after announcing that CMAT will now be a yearly exercise instead of twice a year exam. The exam will be held on January 17, 2016 across the country. Registration process for CMAT 2016 will begin on November 3 and will close on December 10, 2015.

Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) conducted by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) is the official gateway for admissions into the University MBA programs in thirteen  states including Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Kerala, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana and Karnataka. The governments have officially notified CMAT as their official test. In addition, many B-schools offering PGDM programs will also be using the CMAT 2016 scores.

Making a shift in its policy change AICTE had earlier shared that the CMAT will no longer be held twice in a year, instead it will be a yearly test. Accordingly the CMAT 2016 on January 17, 2016 after the policy change will be the first CMAT exam. CMAT 2016: Exam pattern
CMAT 2016 will remain an online exam for admission to AICTE approved MBA/ PGDM courses 2016-18 batch across the country. No structural and content based changes in CMAT 2016 have been announced by AICTE.

How to apply
Registration and Application process for CMAT 2016 is online and candidates with a computer and good internet connectivity can register online from Nov 3, 2015 by visiting AICTE-CMAT website.

Application fee
Registration and application fee for CMAT 2016 is Rs.1400/- for General & OBC candidates and is Rs.700/- for SC/ST/PWD & all women candidates. The fee can be paid online or in cash at any of the SBI bank branches.

Eligibility to appear in CMAT 2016
Graduates in any discipline or Final year students of Graduate Courses can apply for CMAT 2016. Recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 Yrs duration will be taken into account.

CMAT: Gateway to 400 B schools
CMAT scores are accepted by around 400+ B schools running AICTE approved management programmes in India. It is the 2nd largest MBA/PGDM entrance test after CAT in the country.
