While a few guidelines are clear enough a few instructions are ambiguous still these instructions and guidelines will help the candidates
In the sample practice test for MAHCET 2015, DTE Maharashtra has provided only 4 answer options to each question but now the instructions issued categorically state that there would be 5 answer options

Just a day before the MAHCET 2015 exam starts for admission to MBA/MMS 2015-17 programme, Directorate of Technical education (DTE) Maharashtra advises the test takers how to use the navigation tools during MAHCET 2015 to avoid any confusion and issues some confusing instructions also.  MAHCET 2015 will be held in a 2 day test window on March 14 & 15, 2015 in multiple session at 61 exam cities across the country.

While a few guidelines are clear enough a few instructions are ambiguous still these instructions and guidelines will help the candidates to come out of prevailing confusions and myths that might be persisting in absence of proper instructions from DTE Maharashtra.

5 or 4 answer options: Confusion persists

In the sample practice test for MAHCET 2015, DTE Maharashtra has provided only 4 answer options to each question but now the instructions issued categorically state that there would be 5 answer options. Candidates were earlier happy enough to know that they wouldn’t have to waste their time reading 5 answer options and would save at least some of the time containing themselves to 4 answer options.

DTE says “The Question Paper consists of 200 multiple choice objective type questions with 5 options out of which only one is correct.” Ironically, the model question paper with 75 questions, attached to the latest guidelines issued by DTE Maharashtra has only 4 answer options following each question.

Before issuing guidelines it is expected from the DTE to check what they are going to instruct and what impact any ambiguity in instructions could bring upon the test takers going to take test tomorrow.

Equal marks: No penalty

Each question carries 1 mark and  there is no Negative Marking for incorrect answers.

Only one question will be displayed on the computer screen at a time. To attempt next question the candidates should click on or to go back click on button provided at the bottom of the screen.
