MAH CET 2015: Registration still incomplete; DTE unable to send notification; 1 month remains to exam

The efficiency with which DTE Maharashtra conducted MAH-CET 2014 is nowhere seen in MAH-CET 2015. Despite issuing the notification on January 8, 2015 to conduct MAHCET 2015 for MBA/MMS programmes in Maharashtra B schools, the dedicated online application window is yet to be opened by DTE Maharashtra. Candidates are now in jeopardy whether Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra is at all interested in conducting MAHCET 2015 on the notified scheduled dates on March 14 & 15, 2015 or is simply playing with the sentiments of the candidates as only a month remains to appear in MAHCET 2015 while DTE still keeps away from issuing any notification regarding opening of the application process.

DTE keeps mum on MAHCET 2015

It is so surprising that highly efficient DTE Maharashtra has failed to respond on numerous queries of MBA aspirants regarding the tentative date for opening of application window, exam structure and details about admission schedule. A fortnight ago DTE Maharashtra published in public domain on its site to Register your name to Receive Notifications Regarding Admission Schedule of various courses including MBA/MMS 2015-17. MBA aspirants seeking admission in Maharashtra B schools have already registered their names but are still waiting to receive the notification as promised by DTE Maharashtra.

No Notification till date

DTE Maharashtra has categorically stated that Aspiring Candidates are hereby informed to register their Name. Candidates have been waiting to receive the necessary revert from DTE Maharashtra after entering their personal details as desired by DTE Maharashtra but nothing has been received by them till date either as SMS on their Mobile or on their mail ID.

Neither any login ID or any Password has even been provided by DTE Maharashtra to enable the candidates to proceed with the further process of registration and application. DTE Maharashtra has advised and confirmed that The system shall allow registering the Candidate by validating the Mobile Number but even after the lapse of a fortnight from the date of asking the candidates to enter their personal details on its site, DTE Maharashtra has neither issued any notification not have allowed the candidates to complete their registration and application for MAHCET 2015.

Exam on time? Panic among MBA aspirants

The inactivity and no further information by DTE Maharashtra is creating panic among the MBA aspirants. Now the candidates have begun contemplating whether DTE would be able to complete the registration process before the scheduled date of exam or the exam dates would be postponed.

Difficult to complete Registration before exam

Candidates are supposed to complete their registration and application process for MAHCET 2015 to be held on March 14 & 15, 2015 across the country much ahead of the exam. Most of the MBA entrance exams close their registration/application process about a month prior to the scheduled test date. DTE Maharashtra has not yet opened the registration/application process for MAHCET 2015, when it will close it and will conduct the exam is known to the DTE Maharashtra only.

DTE Maharashtra: Delaying the Session 2015-16

The activity of opening the application process for MAHCET 2015, scanning and scrutinizing the on line applications, verifying the reserved category documents, identifying the test centres, issuing the admit cards and attending to the queries on various issues need good volume of time which according to the exam schedule announced by DTE Maharashtra is very short now.

It may not be possible for DTE Maharashtra to conduct MAHCET 2015 on the announced date of March 14 & 15, 2015, if it moves on with the same pace. In 2014 DTE Maharashtra closed the application process for MAHCET 2014 in the month of January 2014 but in 2015 it is not yet opened not to say of closing the process.

After the conduct of the exam, it will take around a month to declare the result and at least 2-3 months will be wasted by DTE Maharashtra in organizing the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) for admission to 45000 seats in Maharashtra B schools, half of which are not filled otherwise also. Now with this delay only residual candidates might apply and appear for CAP 2015 after MAHCET 2015 as the session might be inordinately delayed.
