4. IBSAT Exam Pattern 2023
IBSAT exam pattern 2023 remains an Online Computer Based Test of 2 hours duration and is scheduled in a testing window of 2 days in December 2023. The IBSAT question Paper is divided into four sections - Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Ability and Data Adequacy & Data Interpretation. 5. IBSAT 2023 Eligibility Criteria
Key points in IBSAT Eligibility Criteria 2023 for IBSAT 2023 Exam are:
- Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university/institute with not less than 50 percent marks with medium of instruction as English
- Applicants should have completed a minimum 15 years of education (on 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 basis).
- Graduates with a course of one time sitting basis or on a two years basis do not fulfill the IBSAT 2023 eligibility requirement.
- Candidate’s medium of education should have been completed in English Medium Or must have TOEFL/NELT/IELTS Scores
- The applicants, who do not meet this IBSAT 2023 eligibility criteria of English as medium of instruction at undergraduate level, are supposed to submit the TOEFL/NELT/IELTS score by May 31, 2024
- Applicants in their final year bachelor’s degree course are also eligible to apply, provided they complete their graduation requirements (including practical examinations / viva /assignments) before May 31, 2024. The admission will remain provisional until they produce marks sheets and degree certificates establishing their eligibility. The last date for submission of proof of graduation is November 01, 2024.

7. IBSAT Syllabus 2023
The IBSAT preparation should be done as per the IBSAT syllabus. The IBSAT syllabus consists of all important topics in 4 sections of the online test. 10. IBSAT 2023 Admit Card: When and How to Download?
IBSAT 2023 Hall ticket will be released by ICFAI Foundation in December 2023, third week. The Login window for IBSAT 2023 Admit card will close on the last day of IBSAT 2023 exam. IBSAT 2023 Login should be used to view and download IBSAT Admit Card. ICFAI Foundation will release the IBSAT 2023 Result earlier than the pre announced date. Last year also IBSAT result was released on December 29, 2022 instead of in January first week 2023. Although, the IBSAT Result trends show that IBSAT Result is declared in the forenoon, last year IBSAT result was declared late evening. Q. How difficult is IBSAT Exam as compared to other MBA entrance exams?
Ans. IBSAT is a moderate difficulty exam and is easier than CAT, XAT, CMAT, NMAT.
Q. How much time I need to prepare for IBSAT?
Ans. According to experts, you can prepare for IBSAT alongwith other exams by synchronizing your preparation. Besides you can self prepare or join some good coaching also. Two to three months are considered good time to prepare for IBSAT
Q. How can I get the Registration and Application Form?
Ans. Application form (MBA/PGPM 2024-2026 Broucher) may be purchased either through Online or Offline. The cost of the application form (PGPM Bulletin) was Rs 1800 last year. Online registration for the programs is available on website admissions.ibsindia.org. Offline Applications are available at IBS Marketing Branches. On purchase of application form you will receive a scratch card containing application number and password.
Q. Is there any management quota of seats for MBA admission in ICFAI colleges?
Ans. No there is no management quota or NRI quota.
Q. How and when the selection process is conducted?
Ans. Selection process will be conducted in February-March 2024 at 8 IBS campuses i.e. IBS Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Gurgaon, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune, Dehradun, Jaipur & IBS Head Office. If situation does not permit to conduct process at campuses, ONLINE selection process will be conducted.
Q. What are the components of Final Selection Process?
Ans. IBS selection process comprises two components- Group Discussion and Personal Interview
Q. What are the key parameters to evaluate a candidate’s performance in GD round?
Ans. A topic will be announced to a group of 8 – 10 candidates for discussion. The candidates will be given 15 minutes to express their views. After group discussion each candidate will be given an opportunity to summarize his/her opinion in a minute. The group discussion aims to evaluate the candidate’s expression, initiative communication, analytical skills and behaviour in group.
Q. What will be the evaluation criteria for Personal Interview?
Ans. The personal interview is the final stage in the selection process. The interview panel members are Directors, Deans, Senior Faculty Members and Alumni. The duration of the interview for each candidate will be for 10 minutes. The interview panel will focus on assessing the attitude, aptitude and aspirations of the applicant besides evaluate the candidate’s general knowledge, communication skills, clarity of thought, expression and aptitude for a career in management.
