IIM Lucknow, SCMHRD Pune & ICFAI Hyderabad Earn AACSB Accreditation taking Indian Tally to 14 B-schools joining the Elite Club

IIM Lucknow, SCMHRD Pune and ICFAI Hyderabad have earned the prestigious AACSB International Accreditation. With these three accreditations, now there are four AACSB Accredited IIMs and the total number of Indian B-schools with AACSB Accreditation has gone up to 14 from 11 earlier. AACSB Accreditation in India

Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIM-L); Symbiosis International University-Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development, (SCMHRD) Pune and  ICFAI Business School (IBS), Hyderabad have earned the prestigious AACSB Accreditation. With these three more accreditations awarded to B-schools in India, now there are four IIMs with AACSB Accreditation and the total number of Indian B-schools with AACSB Accreditation has gone up to 14 from 11 earlier. AACSB Accreditation provides a framework of international standards on which B-Schools assess the quality of their education

In its press release on February 12, 2020, AACSB announced that Indian Institute of Management Lucknow; Symbiosis International University-Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development, Pune; and  ICFAI Business School, Hyderabad have earned accreditation along with eight other B-schools and universities in China, France and other countries.

With the award of three more accreditations, the B-schools with AACSB accreditations are 14 now:

  3. XLRI Jamshedpur
  4. SPJIMR Mumbai
  5. IIM Indore
  6. School of Business Management at NMIMS Mumbai
  7. IMT Ghaziabad
  8. TAPMI Manipal
  9. IIM Udaipur
  10. IFIM Bangalore
  11. Amrita School of Business (ASB) Coimbatore
  12. IIM Lucknow
  13. SCMHRD Pune
  14. ICFAI (IBS) Hyderabad

AACSB accreditation is awarded to the institute for its demonstrated focus on quality in teaching, research, curriculum development, and student learning.

AACSB Accreditation has been earned by only 5 percent of the world's schools offering business degrees at the bachelor level or higher. With the recent AACSB Accreditations, 874 institutions across 56 countries and territories have earned and maintain AACSB Accreditation. Furthermore, 190 institutions maintain a supplemental AACSB Accreditation for their accounting programs.

AACSB Accreditation provides a framework of 15 international standards against which business schools around the world assess the quality of their educational services. These standards ensure continuous improvement and provide focus for schools to deliver on their mission, innovate, and drive impact. The list of B-schools earlier accredited by AACSB includes Harvard Business School, Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and the MIT Sloan School also.
