IBSAT 2026 Application Form: Registration Dates, Fee, Eligibility, Documents & Step-by-Step Process

The IBSAT 2026 application form is common across all nine IBS campuses. A single application gives candidates access to consideration for MBA admission at IBS Hyderabad, Bangalore, Dehradun and Jaipur, and PGPM admission at IBS Mumbai, Gurgaon, Pune, Ahmedabad and Kolkata. The IBSAT 2026 application fee is Rs 1,800 for all categories. ICFAI does not offer fee concessions for SC, ST, OBC, EWS or PwD candidates. The fee is non-refundable under any circumstances, including disqualification on eligibility grounds at a later stage.

Payment modes accepted:

• Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard, RuPay, American Express)
• Debit Card (all major Indian banks)
• Net Banking
• UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, etc.)

Candidates are advised to take a printout of the payment confirmation receipt immediately after the transaction. In rare cases of payment failure where the amount is debited but the application is not marked as paid, the refund typically reflects in 7-10 working days, after which the candidate may attempt re-payment.

Before filling the IBSAT 2026 registration form, candidates must confirm they meet the eligibility criteria laid down by IFHE. Failing the eligibility check at any subsequent stage will lead to cancellation of candidature without refund of the Rs 1,800 fee.

IBSAT 2026 Eligibility Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a UGC-recognised university
• Minimum 15 years of formal education (10+2+3 or 10+2+4 pattern), as per AICTE norms
• English must have been the medium of instruction at graduation level; if not, candidates must submit valid TOEFL/NELT/IELTS scores by 31 May 2027
• Final-year graduation candidates are eligible, subject to producing the final degree certificate before the admission cut-off date
• No age limit and no cap on number of attempts

Candidates should keep the following documents and information ready before starting the IBSAT 2026 registration to ensure a smooth, error-free form submission:

• Class 10 mark sheet and certificate
• Class 12 mark sheet and certificate
• Graduation mark sheets (all semesters/years) and degree certificate (or provisional certificate for final-year candidates)
• Recent passport-size photograph — .jpeg or .gif format, file size below 25 KB, dimensions 140-160 pixels, with a clear front-facing view
• Scanned signature — black ink on white paper, scanned in .jpeg or .gif format
• Valid email ID (active for the entire admission cycle)
• Active mobile number (for OTP verification)
• Valid government-issued photo ID — Aadhaar, PAN, Passport or Driving Licence
• Work experience certificates (if applicable)
• For candidates applying through alternative scores: scanned copies of CAT 2026, XAT 2027, NMAT 2026 or GMAT scorecards (to be emailed separately to [email protected])

The IBSAT 2026 application process is a four-page online form. The complete step-by-step procedure is as follows:

Step 1 — Visit the Official Portal: Log on to admissions.ibsindia.org (or the master portal ibsindia.org and click "Apply to IBS").

Step 2 — Register as a New User: Click on "New Registration" and enter your basic personal details — full name, email ID and mobile number. On submission, an IBSAT Application Number and Password will be sent to your registered email and mobile.

Step 3 — Log In and Fill the Application Form: Log in using your IBSAT Application Number and Password. The form is divided into four pages:

• Page 1: Personal details (name, date of birth, gender, nationality, address)
• Page 2: Academic qualifications from Class 10 onwards (institution, board/university, year of passing, percentage)
• Page 3: Work experience details (if applicable) and IBS programme preferences
• Page 4: Exam slot preferences (December 26 or December 27, time slot)

Step 4 — Upload Photograph and Signature: Upload the scanned photograph and signature in the prescribed format (.jpeg/.gif, under 25 KB).

Step 5 — Pay the Rs 1,800 Application Fee: Proceed to the payment gateway and pay the IBSAT 2026 application fee of Rs 1,800 via credit card, debit card, net banking or UPI. Note the transaction ID for future reference.

Step 6 — Review and Submit: Carefully review all entries. Details like name, date of birth, academic marks, category and contact details must match the originals. Once satisfied, click Submit. Take a printout of the confirmation page and submission receipt for your records.

Step 7 — Book Your IBSAT 2026 Slot: Once the slot booking window opens in mid-December 2026, log in again to select your preferred exam date and time slot.

Step 8 — Download Admit Card: The IBSAT 2026 admit card will be available for download approximately one week before the exam — visit the IBSAT 2026 Admit Card page for download steps closer to the date.

Candidates who do not wish to appear for IBSAT but hold valid scores in CAT 2026, XAT 2027, NMAT by GMAC 2026 or GMAT can apply to IBS for MBA/PGPM admission using those scores. However, they must still complete the IBSAT 2026 application form and pay the Rs 1,800 fee.

Minimum cross-validity score requirements:

• CAT: 60 percentile and above
• XAT: 60 percentile and above
• NMAT by GMAC: 150 and above
• GMAT: 500 and above

Candidates using these alternative scores must email a scanned copy of their scorecard to [email protected] after submitting the IBSAT application form. The IBS selection process (Micro Presentation + Personal Interview in February-March 2027) is common for IBSAT-takers and alternative-score applicants.

Aspirants frequently make the following errors during IBSAT 2026 registration — being aware of these can prevent form rejection or admission complications later:

• Spelling errors in name that do not match Class 10/12 certificates — leads to admission delays
• Incorrect percentage calculation for graduation aggregate (use the formula prescribed by your university)
• Uploading a photo larger than 25 KB or outside the 140-160 pixel range — the system rejects oversized files
• Using an inactive email ID — all subsequent communication including slot booking and admit card depends on email access
• Waiting until December 24 to apply — the portal historically slows or fails in the final 48 hours
• Assuming CAT/XAT/NMAT/GMAT exempts the Rs 1,800 fee — it does not
