Candidates seeking admission opportunity in MBA 2015-17 batch at UPES University should register and apply online latest by May 29, 2015 to appear in the entrance exam UPESMET-4 on May 31.

Candidates seeking admission opportunity in MBA 2015-17 batch at UPES University should register and apply online latest by May 29, 2015 to appear in the entrance exam UPESMET-4 on May 31.

Who should apply

The aspirants applying for UPESMET-4 need to have minimum 50% marks in both Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th and 12th respectively) as well as in graduation from a recognized university.

MBA aspirants who do not have the minimum score in CAT/XAT with 70-75 percentile or MAT/CMAT with 75 percentile should appear for the UPESMET-4 Online Test for admission to a UPES MBA program

Online UPESMET-4

University of Petroleum and energy Studies -UPES, Dehradun will organize online UPESMET-4 for admission to the MBA programmes 2015 on May 31, 2015 in 3 slots. It will be an online MBA Entrance Test for admission to 9 specialized MBA programs in the high growth sectors of  Power, Energy, Infrastructure, Aviation, Port & Shipping, Business Analytics, International Business and Entrepreneurship. The last date to apply is May 29, 2015.

UPES to offer 9 MBA Programmes

With the high anticipated growth in next few years in the core sectors, MBA programmes at UPES could fulfill the dream of a promising career in specialized MBA domain. UPES has an intake of 455 candidates to pursue MBA 2015-17 at its B school the College of Management & Economics Studies (CoMES), UPES Dehradun.

Online & Unique Test

UPESMET-4 will be a completely online exam which the aspirants can take from any location in India, provided they have a laptop/desktop with a webcam and an internet connection. The exam will be conducted on May 31, 2015 in slots. The test will be centrally proctored to ensure that the integrity of the test process is not compromised.

The 3 exam slots from 10 A.M. to 12.30PM; 1 PM to 3.30 P.M.; 4PM to 6.30 P.M. will be available during the testing day.

The candidates will not be given an option to choose the exam slot. UPES will be sharing the designated time slot with each student who had filled the online form and paid the fees through email with a username and password and detailed instructions to take the test at the designated time slot.

Nature and pattern of exam 

The test paper comprises 140 questions with 35 questions each divided in four sections listed below. The test will have to be attempted in 150 minutes.  There is no negative marking in the test.

Section-1 General English comprising Reading comprehension, Verbal Reasoning and Verbal Ability

Section-2 Quantitative aptitude, Data Interpretation and data sufficiency

Section-3 General Awareness comprising General Knowledge, current affairs and business scenario

Section-4 Analytical and Logical reasoning

Online & convenient Testing

Candidates will appear for the online test by logging in with their credentials from their computer connected with a webcam and an internet connection. Candidates have the convenience to appear for the test from their home, office or internet café.

The candidates will be sent their login credentials at least 24 hours before the exam on the registered email ID of the applicants

Placement at UPES

UPES MBA Placement 2015 has received overwhelming response from industry and corporate sector. Most of the batch is already placed in just over a month of placements having started.

More than 90 percent batch of MBA Logistics & Supply Chain program has already been placed. MBA International Business and MBA Port & Shipping Management follow closely with more than 70 percent and 50 percent students placed.

Notable recruiters who have visited the UPES campus this year include Ernst & Young (E&Y), KPMG, Accenture, LG, Flipkart, Nestle, Panasonic, SONY India, Phillips, Mt. The average package received by MBA students till now is INR 4.2 lacs with the highest package being INR 10.5 lacs
