Refuting the confusing and misleading claim made by media reports and one of leading magazines running a TV channel that the CAT 2015 result would be declared on January 12, 2015, the convener CAT 2015 has confirmed that there will not be pre announcement on CAT 2015 result declaration date and the result declaration will be a direct affair.
Communicating exclusively with MBAUniverse.com and confirming this fact the Convener for CAT 2015 and IIM Ahmedabad faculty Prof Tathagata Bandyopadhyay has shared “There will not be pre-announcement of CAT 2015 result declaration date, it will be direct on website.” Accordingly, CAT 2015 test takers are advised not to get confused by the various misleading and confusing claims in regard to announcement of CAT 2015 result declaration date. The aspirants should take their career decision only after declaration of CAT 2015 result going to be declared in the next few days during the second week of January 2016.
Earlier it was communicated by the CAT 2015 convener that the result would be declared before the second week of January 2016 but later on he informed that the decision was yet to be taken. Now it has been shared after arriving at the decision that CAT 2015 result would be declared direct and the candidates would not be informed in advance about the result declaration date.
Confusion was created earlier also
Various media reports created confusion earlier also after the CAT 2015 exam was over. These reports claimed that there would be answer keys to the CAT 2015 test paper. The 3 important documents displayed on the home page of CAT 2015 website viz CAT 2015 Schedule, CAT 2015 Advertisement and CAT 2015 Press Release categorically state that the CAT 2015 results will be declared in the 2nd week of January, 2016. The 1st week of January 2016 is already over and the second week has begun. However, the speculation on CAT 2015 result declaration date has not subsided.

CAT Centre 2015 has not yet informed any specific date of result declaration except the fact that there would not be any pre announcement of CAT 2015 result date. Thousands of CAT 2015 test takers have contacted the CAT Centre 2015, but there is no such information shared by CAT 2015 convener or the CAT centre that could confirm any exact date to declare the result.
Pre-announcement would help IIM aspirants
An announcement from CAT Centre 2015 regarding the result declaration date could help the aspirants as they wouldn’t need to glue their eyes every day on CAT 2015 website or to misleading media information items that the result would be declared on this or that date. Besides the CAT 2015 test takers could chalk out their plan post CAT 2015 result. But now they will have to wait and watch till the result is declared and is made available on CAT 2015 site.
Candidates worried
