CAT 2016 test takers can explore admission opportunity in one of the top ranked PGDM 2017-19 programmes at IMI New Delhi. The last date to apply for admission for CAT 2016 test takers is December 12, 2016 at IMI New Delhi.

International Management Institute (IMI) New Delhi will accept CAT 2016  and GMAT scores to shortlist candidates for final admission round.

Recent NIRF Ranking 2016 published by Ministry of HRD, Government of India has ranked IMI New Delhi at #1 position amongst the Private B-schools in India. Overall,  IMI New Delhi was awarded the 7th rank  while IIM Bangalore was awarded 1st rank among all the B-schools that were ranked in NIRF Ranking 2016. 

Recent rankings by NHRDN, CNN-IBN, Business Today, Outlook, CSR-GHRDC have all ranked IMI amongst the top 10 business schools in India.

IMI, New Delhi secured an overall 12th rank in the ranking issued by The Hindu Business Line and MBAUniverse.com under the title B school Ranking 2015-16.

Check eligibility
The minimum eligibility to apply for admission to the PGDM Programmes at IMI Delhi requires you to possess a bachelor’s or equivalent degree, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks or equivalent in any discipline, from a recognised university in India or abroad (recognised by the UGC / Association of Indian Universities).

Candidates who have appeared in CAT 2016 exam held on December 4, 2016 are eligible to apply and IMI New Delhi does not propose to accept scores of other exams.

Work experience is not mandatory. Participants for the PGDM programme maybe fresh graduates from any discipline including Engineering, Humanities, Commerce, Economics, Medicine or any other branch of education or they may have relevant work experience also.

Eligible candidates who have appeared in CAT 2016 or GMAT and seeking admission in PGDM 2017-19 batch at IMI Delhi can apply online only. Indian residents who have appeared for GMAT, not earlier than December 2014 and not later than December 2016 are also eligible to apply. Accordingly the candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in above exams.

The application process for full-time Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) at IMI for the batch 2017-19 will remain open till December 12, 2016.

Applicant should complete the online application form and submit the same along with the admission fee of Rs.2000/- which is non-refundable and can be paid through Credit Card/ Debit Card/Bank Transfer through the designated payment gateway.

IMI Delhi offers 2 years full time AICTE approved PGDM programmes equivalent to MBA. The programmes and intake are as under

-  Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM): 240 seats
-  Post-Graduate Diploma in Management - Human Resources (PGDHRM): 60 seats 
-  Post Graduate Diploma in Management - Banking and Financial Services (PGDM - B&FS): 60 seats 

Look beyond CAT/GMAT scores: 2 stage admission process
IMI New Delhi will follow 2 stage selection process for admission to PGDM 2017-19 for CAT 2016 and GMAT test takers. IMI looks beyond the written exam scores in its admission process. According to Dr D. K. Batra Faculty at IMI New Delhi “It’s not just CAT percentile that will decide who gets admission into IMI New Delhi. We look for applicants who are self-confident, versatile, open to learning with a strong personal integrity  and  excellent communication. We look for candidates who have faith in ethics and values; are with analytical bend of mind, integrative capabilities and well versed in current affairs including business and trade related issues.”

1st stage 
IMI New Delhi will short list the candidates on the basis of information provided in the application form, CAT 2016 scores  (sectional  and  overall)  or  GMAT  score,  educational  background,  marks  in  10th,  12th, graduation and  work experience.

2nd stage: Final Selection
CAT 2016 score, past academic performance in graduation, class XII & X, Extempore speaking, Psychometric Test, Essay Writing, Personal Interview besides other qualitative parameters, will constitute the core components of the final stage of the selection process.

Sharing about the admission process at IMI New Delhi, Dr D K Batra says, “Our process is largely CAT based screening and at PI stage - a written test, psychometric test and personal interview is taken. CAT is used for shortlisting of the candidates. It has minimal weightage in the overall assessment.”

IMI New Delhi is India’s first corporate sponsored B-School.
