FMS Delhi will make final admission offer to 6 of 57 shortlisted candidates in PWD category after the Personal Interview round is over on April 18, 2016. While PWD candidates will sure enjoy the PI round at FMS Delhi, they should not expect any loose discipline or relaxation during the interview session. FMS proposes to make all the required arrangement to conduct the PI session for PWD candidates and proposes to take care of physical problems but the PI session is going to be at par for all the candidates including PWD ones so far as standard of questions is concerned.

According to Dr M L Singla Dean FMS Delhi “The Interview Panels are competent to make a choice within the Category and we have never faced any issues in the matter. Fortunately, the Panels at FMS are sensitive to this concern and are able to take care of it.”

Relax! FMS to keep you motivated
The inspiration and motivation factor to the candidates during PI round is also taken care of without engaging the services of interpreter during PI round at FMS Delhi. According to the dean Dr M L Singla “We have never felt the need for the interpreter. Ultimately, the communication has to be between the student and the teacher. We are able to handle this at the faculty level itself.”

Tips to ace PI round
Personal Interview (PI) round at FMS will comprise extempore speech followed by Personal interview. While extempore will be over in 3-4 minutes with your speech on the topic given by the panellists before PI, the personal interview will last longer. Experts suggest following tips for the PWD candidates to ace the Personal Interview round at FMS Delhi

-- You may be allotted more time duration for interview, so utilize it well sharing the skills you have, the knowledge you possess, various activities you do.

-- You may face consistent eye contact from all the panelists closely watching your responses. They will speak and interact directly to you as no interpreter is supposed to be there at FMS during the PI round. Their tone and pitch will also be the same as for other candidates. So do not look elsewhere. If you have hearing problem closely watch what they are asking. If you feel they are going too fast, there is no harm in requesting them to go slow.

-- Listen and understand attentively what the panellist is asking. If you have problem in speaking, dont feel shy. In fact the panellists will be waiting and will also listen to you with the same attention. There is no issue if you speak slow as you have some speech problem. But be audible if you are speaking, the interviewers will be patient enough to wait for you to finish speaking. They might also repeat what they believe was said by you so that you may respond. Utilize the opportunity to make amendments, if you think it will improve and give weight to your response.

-- Please remember the panellists may not ask anything on your disability problem. So don’t try to garner their sympathy. You are a candidate supposed to be competent enough to prove your skills and get final admission offer.

-- During the next 15 days, enhance your knowledge, communication skills and read a lot to give best shot in PI round on April 17 or 18 as may be the date assigned for your Personal interview at FMS Delhi.

-- There are 2157 candidates shortlisted by FMS Delhi for the proposed intake of 216 candidates in MBA 2016-18 batch. Out of them 57 belong to PH or PWD category. 6 candidates are to be finally offered admission by FMS Delhi in PH category. Since these are supernumerary seats candidates can be assured that no other category candidate will be offered admission to these 6 seats by FMS Delhi in case no suitable candidate from PH category is found.

It is advisable to study more, devote time to practice on extempore topics, revise whatever you have learnt in your academics and if you are a working professional make sure to know all about your job-role that you are doing.  The extempore and PI round at FMS Delhi will carry a weightage of 15% while the CAT 2015 score carries 85% weightage in final selection at FMS.

If you are not comfortable with the extempore topic, an alternate topic can also be announced with no penalty.

As has been the practice, the final result for admission to MBA 2016-18 programme is proposed to be announced in the night of April 18, 2016 by FMS Delhi
