Components of PI round at FMS Delhi
The personal Interview (PI) round at FMS will consist of Extempore and Personal Interview.

No GD round
FMS Delhi has scrapped the Group Discussion from its final admission round. The B-school finds that in GD round candidates do not get enough chance to contribute at the short-duration, high-traffic group discussion due to which it has been removed from the PI round. A candidate can easily compensate in the individual PI process by showing his knowledge domain and grab the admission opportunity.

Extempore: 5% weightage
The individual interview process is preceded by ‘Extempore’ speech of 2-3 minutes. There is no syllabus or rules to choose a topic. The Chair decides who among the panel will announce a topic on the spot. No thinking time is allowed, and the speech is to be delivered before the panelists.

If the candidate is not comfortable with the topic, an alternate topic can also be announced with no penalty. Weightage to extempore is 5% on a scale of 100 and scoring full 5 is not difficult also.

Personal Interview: 10% weightage
Next part is Personal Interview which may last from 12 to 20 minutes depending upon the quality of your responses. On a scale of 100 PI has a weightage of 10 marks which is very important to convert the call.

Final admission offer
The final selection at FMS Delhi will be based on the cumulative performance of the candidate in the CAT 2015 Score as well as the score in extempore and Personal Interview round. FMS awards maximum weightage of 85% to CAT scores and while declaring final admission result include the academic profile, work experience with CAT scores.

In all 216 candidates are proposed to be offered admission for the MBA batch 2016-18. It includes 16 supernumerary seats.
