Keeping up the high tradition of commitment CAT Centre 2014 has today on Dec 27 finally declared the CAT 2014 result deciding the fate of 1.70 CAT 2014 takers who appeared in any of the 4 sessions of CAT 2014 on Nov 16 or 22, 2014. It was promised that the CAT 2014 result would be published on December 27 in the evening hours and the result was published well in time before 5.30PM. MBAUniverse.com had shared that result could be published even before 7PM and as expected the result was declared one and a half hour before the expected scheduled time.
How to download the score card
You are supposed to follow the undernoted steps to download the CAT 2014 score card from CAT 2014 site
Login with CAT 2014 id
To view your CAT 2014 result you are supposed to login with your CAT 2014 registered id in accordance with the instructions shared by IIMs on the site. Please note that the score card for CAT 2014 will be only available on the CAT Website when you log on using your CAT 2014 User ID. Please also note that your score-card for CAT 2014 will neither be sent on your mail nor any hard copy of the same will be sent to you
Specific short list dates to be out soon
Specific dates for shortlists at IIMs will be out soon, reports sources. The IIMs are expected to come out with the first short list for Admission 2015 by the first week of January 2015. Validity of CAT 2014 score card
CAT 2014 score card will be made available from today onwards and will remain valid till December 31, 2015. Scores of CAT 2014 candidates will also be made available till December 31, 2015. No query regarding the issuance of CAT 2014 score card will be entertained by CAT Centre 2014 after Dec 31, 2015.
Only CAT 2014 Registered user id; not mail id
Please remember do not logon with your mail id but to log on to CAT 2014 site with your CAT 2014 registered user id and password to view the CAT 2014 result score card. Once you are able to view it, download and save it in a folder.
Take prints
It will be better to take more than 2-3 prints of your score card. Keep one with your other mandatory documents which you will have to carry to the B school in the final admission round and other with you so that in case of any query you may instantly refer to it.
The delayed result
According to the originally announced schedule by CAT Centre 2014, CAT 2014 result was expected in the third week of December 2014. However despite all the processing on time and checks and rechecks going on, the result could not be declared in the 3rd week of December 2014
Detailed instructions for the CAT 2014 takers
Following instructions have been shared by CAT Centre 2014 for the benefit of CAT 2014 takers regarding the score card for CAT 2014 exam.
- Only candidates who have taken the Common Admission Test (CAT 2014) are entitled to receive the score card. The print-out of the score card is for your information pertaining to CAT 2014. You will not receive score card by email or by post.
- The Scaled Scores of Section-1 (Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation) and Section-2 (Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning) are not additive. The Overall Scaled Scores is based on the total raw scores earned by the candidate.Percentile refers to percentage of candidates who receive score less than or equal to the score obtained by the candidate.
- IIMs and Non-IIM member institutions independently decide how to use CAT 2014 scores on the basis of their own selection process. The scores are to be used only for selecting the candidates to their Post Graduate / Fellow Programme(s) in Management.
- All queries regarding post-CAT 2014 selection process must be directed to respective IIMs. CAT Centre will not answer post-CAT related queries.
- CAT 2014 score is valid until 31st December 2015 and subject to meeting the minimum eligibility marks in the qualifying examination.

CAT Centre 2014 has advised that in case of any query CAT 2014 takers can contact on Toll free number 1800-2100-151 till January 15, 2015 or on the webmail support till March 31, 2015respectively.
TCS hands over the data
IIM Indore has received the data from TCS, the CAT 2014 testing agency. Dr Rohit Kapoor, CAT 2014 Convener had earlier said that the ‘final checks are underway’ and accordingly the result has been declared on Dec 27, 2014 as promised by Dr Kapoor.
It is reported that TCS has securely handed over the CAT 2014 results to the IIMs. Management of results data went smoothly, and the IIMs have verified and securely uploaded CAT 2014 results data to the IIMs secure site.
