CAT 2018/GMAT: Mandatory Exams for Admission
CAT 2018 exam scores will be the principal shortlisting criterion at LBSIM Delhi. The institute will also accept GMAT (Taken between January 1, 2018 and January 15, 2019) scores. LBSIM Delhi Admission Eligibility

  • Candidate must hold a bachelor's degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA
  • Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification examination in the year 2019, can also apply. Such candidates, have to submit a certificate from the Principal / Registrar of their University/institution certifying that the candidate has obtained 50% marks or equivalent, based on latest available grades/marks.
  • The deadline for submission of the mark sheet and the certificate is December 15, 2019. Non-fulfillment of this condition will automatically result in the cancellation of the provisional admission.
  • All candidates are required to take the Common Admission Test (CAT 2018) conducted by the IIMs on November 25, 2018, or should have a valid GMAT score in a test taken between January 1, 2018 and January 15, 2019.
  • Besides registering for CAT 2018 / GMAT, candidates are also required to register with LBSIM, Delhi through a separate Application Form which is available online on the LBSIM Website and also offline from the Institute
  • Applicants should note that the mere fulfilment of minimum eligibility criteria will not ensure consideration for short listing by LBSIM.
  • Candidates must declare and maintain a valid and unique email account and a phone number throughout the selection process.
  • Foreign students, PIO and NRI sponsored candidates are also eligible and are required to take the Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) at a test centre outside India, between January 1, 2018 and January 15, 2019.
  • Indian residents who have appeared for GMAT, between January 1, 2018 and January 15, 2019 are also eligible to apply.
  • Candidates will be required to furnish their GMAT scores while applying and provide an attested copy of the GMAT score sheet to the Admission Office for verification at the time of personal interview. GMAT scores without the above document will not be accepted and the application may be summarily rejected.

Application Form Fee: Rs.1250

  • The Information Brochure containing the Application Form is available with the Admission Coordinator, Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, Delhi on all working days between 9.30 am and 5.30 pm (except 2nd Saturday & Sundays and holidays) at LBSIM Dwarka Campus, on payment of Application Fees of Rs. 1,250/- in cash or by Demand Draft.
  • Add Rs.75/- for obtaining the Information Brochure by post within India and Rs. 200/- for abroad
  • Candidates can also download the Application Form from the Institute's website and submit the filled-in form along with the Application Fees of Rs. 1,250/- in cash or by Demand Draft.
  • The demand draft should be drawn in favour of 'Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management' Delhi, payable at New Delhi.
  • Candidates need to pay Rs. 1,250/- either through Credit/Debit card, Net Banking if applying online.  The Application forms can also be obtained by post by forwarding a demand draft of Rs. 1,325/- drawn in favour of “Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, Delhi”.

LBSIM Delhi Admission Criteria
LBSIM Delhi Admission Criteria 2019-21 is a two step process involving the preliminary screening and shortlisting criteria and the Final selection Criteria comprising CAT/GMAT exam score, GD-PI round, Academics among others.

  1. LBSIM Delhi Shortlisting Criteria
    The first part of LBSIM Delhi Admission criteria is its shortlisting criteria for final selection round. A candidate will be shortlisted by LBSIM Delhi if he/she meets the following shortlisting criteria:
  • LBSIM Delhi will shortlist the Candidates on the basis of information provided in the application form, CAT scores or GMAT score, educational background, work experience and other parametrs
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the final stage of the selection process consisting of Group Discussion (GD) Written Ability Test (WAT),  and Personal Interview (PI) Round
  • Mere fulfillment of minimum eligibility criteria may not ensure consideration for shortlisting by LBSIM Delhi
  1. Final Admission Selection Criteria
  • All the shortlisted candidates are eligible to participate in Final selection round for admission to LBSIM Delhi
  • Final Selection Round 2019 at LBSIM Delhi will have 3 components Group Discussion (GD) Written Ability Test (WAT),  and Personal Interview (PI)
  • The GD-PI-WAT at LBSIM will be held during February and March 2019
  • Final Admission offer at LBSIM Delhi will be based on CAT/GMAT score, Past academic performance, Work Experience, performance in GD-PI-WAT among others
  • The overall objective is to identify and assess the candidate’s potential for a managerial career.
  • Result of the selected candidates shall also be displayed on the Institute's Notice Board and also uploaded on the Institute's  website

6 Cities for GD-PI-WAT
Group Discussion, Written Ability Test and Personal Interview would be conducted at Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata

LBSIM Delhi Admission Process
Following steps are included in the LBSIM Delhi Admission process:

  • Step 1: The candidate must apply and appear in CAT 2018/GMAT (Jan 1, 2018 to Jan 15, 2019)
  • Step 2: Candidates should register and apply for admission to LBSIM Delhi latest by December 15, 2018
  • Step 3: Candidates are short-listed for GD-PI-WAT Round from among the candidates who have a valid CAT-2018 score, who have applied for admission to LBSIM Delhi and who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the programme  
  • Step 4: Final selection round will be held at Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata. Candidates should indicate their preference.
  • Step 5: After the GD-PI-WAT round, final admission offers will be made to successful candidates in April/May 2019. Admission offer will be based on a composite score arrived on the basis of CAT/GMAT score, Past academic performance, Work Experience, performance in GD-PI-WAT among others. Final admission result of the selected candidates shall be displayed on the Institute's Notice Board and also uploaded on the Institute's  website

  • The fees include tuition fees, books and reading material, and Refundable Security Deposit of Rs. 5,000/- for the programme
