In order to meet the XIMB MBA eligibility criteria, an applicant must possess a strong and consistent academic background. The academic qualification, exam accepted and other details about XIMB MBA Eligibility criteria are as given below:

• The candidate must hold a bachelor's degree of minimum three-year duration, with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA.
• Candidates who expect to complete the final part of their degree examinations by June 15, 2024, can also apply. Offers of admission to such candidates, if made, will be provisional and will be automatically cancelled in the event of their failure to complete all the requirements for obtaining the degree before June 15, 2024
• The applicant should have appeared in CAT 2023, XAT 2024, or GMAT (Taken between January 1, 2022, and December 31, 2023) exam and must have scored the minimum prescribed sectional and total scores to become eligible for the interview stage of the admission process.
• Applicants opting for XAT/CAT are required to refer to the respective XAT/ CAT advertisements in newspapers and follow the instructions therein. Applying for XAT or CAT or GMAT or NMAT is a prerequisite for applying to XIM University, Bhubaneswar.
• NMAT by GMAC 2023 scores are accepted for MBA-HRM, MBA-RM, MBA-SM, and MBA-UMG programs.
• Work experience is not mandatory for MBA program(s). Relevant work experience after graduation will be an advantage. However, the candidates need to have 3 plus years of relevant work experience after graduation, for the Executive MBA Program.

The application fee is INR 1700/- for the first choice/option, and INR 400/- each for the subsequent options. INR 1300/- will be extra for choosing X-GMT.

Step-1: XIMB MBA Admission 2024: Acceptable MBA Entrance Exams

• XIMB will accept CAT 2023, XAT 2024 and GMAT (Taken in 2022 and 2023) exam score to shortlist the candidates for final selection round
• Besides, XIMB will conduct its own MBA entrance exam X-GMT (XIM General Management Aptitude Test). The X-GMT is an online test and will be conducted at Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai, on January 28, 2024. An applicant may apply to X-GMT on the same application form against the academic programs by paying the XGMT test fee of Rs.1300/-.
• If not opting for X-GMT, registering for XAT or CAT or GMAT is a prerequisite for applying to XIMB MBA-BM program
• NMAT by GMAC 2023 scores are accepted for MBA-HRM, MBA-RM, MBA-SM, programs. So, Applicants are required to take any one of the following Admission Tests:

XAT to be conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur, on January 07, 2024, or CAT to be conducted by IIMs on November 26, 2023, or GMAT taken in 2022 or 2023, or X-GMT to be conducted by XIM University on January 28, 2024. Application through XGMT closed on Jan 14, 2024

Step-2: XIMB MBA Shortlist Criteria 2024

• XIM University, Bhubaneswar gives emphasis not only on entrance exam scores but also on Academic Profile, Work experience, and other parameters.
• Candidates will be short-listed for GD-WAT-PI round on the basis of their sectional and overall scores in the entrance exam after declaration of entrance exam result.

Step-3: Final XIMB MBA Selection Criteria

• Candidates short-listed on the basis of admission test (XAT, CAT, GMAT, or X-GMT) scores will be called for Group Discussion, Writing Ability Test and Personal Interview at Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata or Mumbai.

XIMB MBA cut off will be announced at the time of shortlisting. However, the XIMB MBA cut off as per the past trends may remain in the range of 85 to 90+ percentile.

XIMB MBA cut off is based on sectional as well as overall score. According to Prof Bahinipati, “The Institute will decide the section-wise as well as total cut-off marks which will be used for short-listing the candidates to be called for Writing Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).”
