TAPMI admission criteria 2022 for all the four MBA programmes is same. TAPMI eligibility criteria, selection process and weightages in generation of final merit list for all the programmes are same. 5.2 Step-2 TAPMI Admission 2022: Shortlisting Criteria & Cut off
TAPMI will shortlist the candidates on the basis of CAT/XAT/GMAT exam score and profile for final selection round as per following details. 5.2.2 TAPMI Shortlisting Criteria for Candidates with more than 20 months Work Ex
For the candidates with work experience of more than 20 months as on March 31, 2022, TAPMI follows “Profile-based shortlisting”. Profile considered for shortlisting consists of

  • Valid CAT/ XAT/ GMAT scores (whichever is higher)
  • Academic profile (10th, 12th, Graduation, Overall academic performance, etc.)
  • Work experience (type of company, total experience in months, etc.)
  • Extra-curricular achievements (State/ National/ International) if any
  • The Statement of Purpose plays an important role in shortlisting
  • Shortlist for each programme is separate and independent of each other.
  • For aspirants who have applied for more than one programme, shortlist in one programme does not guarantee a shortlist for the other programme.

5.3 Step 3: Participate in Final Selection Round 
The final selection process in TAPMI admissions 2022 consists of, English Proficiency Test (EPT), Moderated Group Discussion (MGD) and Personal Interview (PI). The PI round will be conducted Online. Key details about each component for TAPMI Admission 2022 are as below:

5.3.1 English Proficiency Test (EPT): EPT assesses the English proficiency across listening, writing, and reading skills of the applicant.

5.3.2 Moderated Group Discussions (MGD): Moderated Group Discussions involves 6 candidates per group and discussion is moderated by the faculty panel. It aims to evaluate ability of the applicant to interact within a group an enrich the discussion. MGD aims at evaluating applicant’s skills in Problem Solving, Confidence and Assertiveness, Persuasion, Collaboration and Communication. Topics for MGD will be based on current affairs/ issues debated in last five years.

5.3.3 Personal Interview (PI): TAPMI’s objective for conducting a personal interview is to understand the applicant’s attitude towards management education. To ensure the same TAPMI will be conducting Behavioural Personal Interview. TAPMI will evaluate applicant’s ability in terms of Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social Awareness, Leadership, and Communication.

5.3.4 Generation of Final Merit List for TAPMI Admission 2022 
The final selection of the candidate is based on MBA Entrance Exam Score, academic profile, work experience, EPT Score, MGD Score and PI Score. The components and respective weightage for each of them is shared below

6.1 Key Points to Note in TAPMI Application Process

  • TAPMI does not accept application in hardcopy mode. All applications must be submitted online.
  • Candidates have the option of making payment for application through online/credit card/debit card or using online banking payment facility.
  • TAPMI website will guide you through the application submission process as well as online payment process.
  • The above procedure may be changed depending on the developments that may arise.
  • Any disputes regarding the admissions to these programmes are subject to the jurisdiction of Udupi only.
  • The application fee is non-refundable.
  • TAPMI uses CAT/XAT/GMAT scores for shortlisting the candidates for its MBA. IIMs, XLRI and GMAC have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme

7. TAPMI Eligibility for admission 2022

  • TAPMI eligibility criteria require that the candidate must hold a bachelor's degree from a recognised university of minimum 3 years duration, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA
  • TAPMI uses CAT/XAT/GMAT scores for shortlisting the candidates for MBA Programmes. Accordingly, the candidate should be registered for CAT 2021/XAT 2022 or Taken GMAT and must score well to become eligible for admission.
  • If the candidate is awarded grades/CGPA instead of marks, the equivalence to determine MBA admission eligibility would be based on the equivalence certified by the institution/university from where the bachelor's degree is obtained. In case the institution/university does not have any scheme for converting the CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by TAPMI by dividing the obtained CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the resultant by 100 to confirm the Admission eligibility of the candidate. 
  • A candidate appearing for the final year bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed the degree requirements and are awaiting results is also eligible to apply for TAPMI Admission 2022.
  • It is mandatory for a final year student, who is provisionally considered eligible by TAPMI and offered admission, to submit the mark-sheet and degree certificate of the final year bachelor's degree examination latest by the stipulated date as announced by TAPMI. The admission will be cancelled if they obtain less than 50% in his/her graduation).
