It was well accepted by students, and we were managing around 80-100 students physically in the campus. However, Phase-II wave of Covid-19 pandemic forced us to suspend the hybrid classes effective April 2021.”

During academic year 2021-22, LBSIM commenced the classes in July month in on-line mode. Total 15 lecture rooms have been upgraded to facilitate on-line teaching. Each classroom is fitted with a camera, audio arrangement, desk top screen in addition to laptop etc.

8.3 Post Covid Classes in 2021: LBSIM started hybrid classes in month of January – March 2021 and August 2021 (after Covid -Wave 2) to facilitate greater interaction of students with faculty and facilitating usage of library, computer center, Bloomberg lab and other facilities in the campus for the students. The step promoted peer-to-peer learning, group assignments, case study discussion etc. which are an integral part of management education.

8.4 Hybrid Mode to Enhance Learning Experience: With an objective to enhance teaching-learning experience in hybrid mode, required IT infrastructure was developed in 15 classrooms (including two computer labs) and audio-visual room. PTZ cameras and desktop monitors were installed for better interaction amongst faculty and students present in both physical and online mode.

To facilitate simultaneous conduct of 7-10 classes, uninterrupted video streaming, live- streaming of various events like conferences on you tube, Facebook, MS teams in parallel with classes and exam, internet bandwidth was increased from 100 Mbps to 500 Mbps. The facility has been taken from Tata Tele Services one of the reputed ISP in India. Along with that, LAN connection was also provided in all classrooms, faculty, and administrative desks.

8.5 Improving Student Recognition: To improve student recognition, backdrop for all the students was developed with institutional tags and name of the student. This helped in eliminating the visual background disturbances and led to a better visual effect.

8.6 Feedback Collection: For better effectiveness of online teaching, frequency of feedback collection has been increased. As soon as the feedback is received the same is shared with the concerned faculty for any necessary action required for teaching quality enhancement.

8.7 Quality of Content: To ensure quality of content delivery in online mode, the regular faculty members sharing same course in different sections are encouraged to be in constant touch with each other and the visiting faculty teaching the same course.
