LBSIM will accept CAT 2019 and GMAT exam scores for short listing the candidates for admission to its flagship two-year full-time PGDM batch 2020-22. Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management (LBSIM) Delhi, one the reputed B-schools in Delhi has closed its PGDM admission 2020 application process now. LBSIM will accept CAT 2019 exam scores for short listing the candidates for admission to its flagship two-year full-time PGDM batch 2020-22.

LBSIM Delhi is accredited by International Accreditation Organization (IAO), USA and National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The B-school is also a member of AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate School of Business). The Association of Indian Universities (AIU) has granted the PGDM from LBSIM equivalence to MBA programme.

Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management Delhi offers 2 years full time  PGDM-General;PGDM-Finance; PGDM-Research & Business Analytics and PGDM-Logistics & Supply Chain Management. The total intake for all these programmes is 360 students.

Apart from these 2 years full time PGDM programmes, LBSIM also offers 15 Months full time PGDM- Executive programme for the professionals with 5 years or above work experience after graduation and 3 years PGDM Part Time programmes for working professionals with work experience of 2 years and more.

Application Form Fee: Rs.1250

  • The Information Brochure containing the Application Form is available with the Admission Coordinator, Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, Delhi on all working days between 9.30 am and 5.30 pm (except 2nd Saturday & Sundays and holidays) at LBSIM Dwarka Campus, on payment of Application Fees of Rs. 1,250/- in cash or by Demand Draft.
  • Add Rs.75/- for obtaining the Information Brochure by post within India and Rs. 200/- for abroad
  • Candidates can also download the Application Form from the Institute's website and submit the filled-in form along with the Application Fees of Rs. 1,250/- in cash or by Demand Draft.
  • The demand draft should be drawn in favour of 'Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management' Delhi, payable at New Delhi.
  • Candidates need to pay Rs. 1,250/- either through Credit/Debit card, Net Banking if applying online.  The Application forms can also be obtained by post by forwarding a demand draft of Rs. 1,325/- drawn in favour of “Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, Delhi”. 

 LBSIM Delhi Admission Eligibility

  • Candidate must hold a bachelor's degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA
  • Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification examination in the year 2020, can also apply. Such candidates, have to submit a certificate from the Principal / Registrar of their University/institution certifying that the candidate has obtained 50% marks or equivalent, based on latest available grades/marks.
  • All candidates are required to take the Common Admission Test (CAT 2019) conducted by the IIMs on November 24, 2019, or should have a valid GMAT score in a test taken between January 1, 2019 and January 15, 2020.
  • Besides registering for CAT 2019 / GMAT, candidates are also required to register with LBSIM, Delhi through a separate Application Form which is available online on the LBSIM Website and also offline from the Institute
  • Applicants should note that the mere fulfilment of minimum eligibility criteria will not ensure consideration for short listing by LBSIM.
  • Candidates must declare and maintain a valid and unique email account and a phone number throughout the selection process.
  • Foreign students, PIO and NRI sponsored candidates are also eligible and are required to take the Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) at a test centre outside India, between January 1, 2019 and January 15, 2020.
  • Indian residents who have appeared for GMAT, between January 1, 2019 and January 15, 2020 are also eligible to apply.
  • Candidates will be required to furnish their GMAT scores while applying and provide an attested copy of the GMAT score sheet to the Admission Office for verification at the time of personal interview. GMAT scores without the above document will not be accepted and the application may be summarily rejected.  

LBSIM Delhi Admission Process
Following steps are included in the LBSIM Delhi Admission process:

  • Step 1: The candidate must apply and appear in CAT 2019/GMAT (Jan 1, 2019 to Jan 15, 2020)
  • Step 2: Candidates should register and apply for admission to LBSIM Delhi on official website
  • Step 3: Candidates are short-listed for GD-PI-WAT Round from among the candidates who have a valid CAT-2019 score, who have applied for admission to LBSIM Delhi and who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the programme  
  • Step 4: Final selection round will be held at Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata. Candidates should indicate their preference.
  • Step 5: After the GD-PI-WAT round, final admission offers will be made to successful candidates in April/May 2020. Admission offer will be based on a composite score arrived on the basis of CAT/GMAT score, Past academic performance, Work Experience, performance in GD-PI-WAT among others. Final admission result of the selected candidates shall be displayed on the Institute's Notice Board and also uploaded on the Institute's website.

LBSIM has changed its application fee, admission criteria, cut off, intake as compared to last year.

CAT 2019/GMAT: Mandatory Exams for Admission
CAT 2019 exam scores will be the principal shortlisting criterion at LBSIM Delhi. The institute will also accept GMAT (Taken between January 1, 2019 and January 15, 2020) scores. The next page on the IMI Admission site displays the IMI programmes and IMI campuses with online application window and required application fee to be paid online. You should choose the preferred IMI campus and programme that you want to apply for.

Step 3: Complete Personal & Programme Details
This page requires you to fill in the preferred programmes and campuses you wish to apply for. You need to complete your all personal details and should upload the photograph of required size. Please select two preferred Personal Interview (PI) centres out of the list which is displayed on the page. Complete the details and move to next page

Step 4: Enter Address Details
A separate page to enter your correspondence and permanent address has been created on the IMI Application form. In case your permanent address is same as correspondence address, you should simply click on ‘Yes’.

Step 5: Enter Academic Details
Next page on IMI application form requires you to fill up all your academic details backwards from graduation to class 10. Please note that you cannot enter the academic details prior to 2011. You are also required to fill in your CAT 2019 registration ID. If you have appeared or appearing in GMAT, you need to enter GMAT exam ID, exam year in DD/MM/YY format alongwith your GMAT score.

However, candidates appearing for GMAT or no GMAT score while applying can enter numeric `0’ in the GMAT score field and should email their score card immediately after the test to IMI New Delhi.

IMI New Delhi asks you to make payment of application fee after you have completed your application form. This is the final step to fill the application form. You can make payment through Credit/Debit card, Net Banking, UPI.

LBSIM Delhi Admission Criteria
LBSIM Delhi Admission Criteria 2020-22 is a two step process involving the preliminary screening and shortlisting criteria and the Final selection Criteria comprising CAT/GMAT exam score, GD-PI round, Academics among others. 

  1. LBSIM Delhi Shortlisting Criteria
    The first part of LBSIM Delhi Admission criteria is its shortlisting criteria for final selection round. A candidate will be shortlisted by LBSIM Delhi if he/she meets the following shortlisting criteria:
  • LBSIM Delhi will shortlist the Candidates on the basis of information provided in the application form, CAT scores or GMAT score, educational background, work experience and other parametrs
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the final stage of the selection process consisting of Group Discussion (GD) Written Ability Test (WAT),  and Personal Interview (PI) Round
  • Mere fulfillment of minimum eligibility criteria may not ensure consideration for shortlisting by LBSIM Delhi
  1. Final Admission Selection Criteria
  • All the shortlisted candidates are eligible to participate in Final selection round for admission to LBSIM Delhi
  • Final Selection Round 2020 at LBSIM Delhi will have 3 components Group Discussion (GD) Written Ability Test (WAT),  and Personal Interview (PI)
  • The GD-PI-WAT at LBSIM will be held during February and March 2020
  • Final Admission offer at LBSIM Delhi will be based on CAT/GMAT score, Past academic performance, Work Experience, performance in GD-PI-WAT among others
  • The overall objective is to identify and assess the candidate’s potential for a managerial career.
  • Result of the selected candidates shall also be displayed on the Institute's Notice Board and also uploaded on the Institute's  website

6 Cities for GD-PI-WAT
Group Discussion, Written Ability Test and Personal Interview would be conducted at Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata
