
Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) Delhi has released final admission result 2023 for MBA 2023-25 batch on its website after completing the final selection process with physical PI round. The result consists of category wise list of finally selected candidates. You can check your admission status by browsing the relevant lists on FMS admission website. No ID/Password is required to check your admission status. As FMS has the reputation to declare final merit list for MBA admission on the last day of PI round, it released the 1st final merit list for MBA admission 2023 on April 21, 2023.

Pay Fee by May 16, 2023
FMS Delhi has instructed all the selected candidates to complete their admission formalities in person from May 8 to May 16, 2023 between 10 AM to 4 PM. The necessary offer acceptance/admission fee should also be paid online after document verification at the given link on FMS Delhi admission website.
According to FMS Delhi, “All candidates are required to present themselves in person at FMS office to complete the admission process during the period from: May 08, 2023 to May 16, 2023 between 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM (Excluding Saturdays and Sundays). The link for online payment of the admission fee [Rs.48,780/-(Approx)] will be shared on successful verification of documents.”
Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) Delhi conducted Personal Interview Round from April 17, 2023 to April 21 for MBA admission 2023 in physical mode. FMS had released the shortlist of 1994 candidates for PI round for 287 seats. This year again, FMS did not conduct Group Discussion round and opted of SoP and Extempore.
Given its low fees and high placements, Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) Delhi is one of the top favourites of high scoring CAT test takers. Every year, more than 25,000 students apply for fewer than 300 seats. With many changes announced in FMS Delhi MBA admission 2023 process, the institute had shortlisted candidates by awarding varying sectional weightage to the CAT 2022 exam scores. FMS Delhi offers MBA (Full-Time), MBA Executive and MBA Executive (Health Care Administration) Programme. An applicant has to appear in CAT exam and has to apply for FMS MBA admission separately. FMS Delhi shortlisting criteria for final selection round aims to encourage diversity of Gender and Academic Disciplines. For the purpose of shortlisting candidates for Interview Process different weightages are assigned to the scores of different sections of the CAT 2022.
1.1 FMS Delhi Shortlisting Criteria
FMS Delhi shortlists the candidates on the basis of sectional and overall CAT score, gender diversity and other criteria as under:
- The shortlisting for final selection round in FMS Admission Criteria awards 100% weight to CAT 2022 score
- In the shortlisting criteria, the candidate is awarded weightage to sectional percentile scores in CAT 2022. Score in Quantitative Ability (QA) section is awarded 30% weight; the Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR) section also carries a weight of 30% while the Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC) section carries highest weightage of 40%.
- An additional 5 marks are added to the Composite score so computed in case of women candidates for the purpose of shortlisting.
- This composite score is used only for shortlisting the candidates for Interview Process.
- All the Candidates shortlisted for final selection round have to attend PI round, failing which they will be not be considered for the final admission

1.3 Additional 5 Marks to Women Candidates
For candidates who have applied to FMS, an additional 5 marks are added to the Composite Score so computed in case of women candidates for the purpose of shortlisting.
2. FMS Delhi Cut Off
Earlier FMS Delhi used to take into account overall CAT exam score. For the last three years FMS Delhi Cut offs also include the sectional CAT score as per the weightages awarded to each section. However, going by the past pattern, a candidate with high sectional percentile score of 98+ in CAT 2022 is shortlisted as per the FMS Delhi cut off and sectional weightage criteria.

3.1 High RoI MBA College: MBA programme at FMS Delhi is offered at low fee but the placements at FMS are at par or even surpass the packages that students of top three IIMs get at campus placements. 4.1 FMS Delhi MBA: Flagship Programme
The 2 years full time residential MBA programme at FMS Delhi is the flagship management course of the Faculty of Management, University of Delhi. The MBA degree after completion of the course is awarded by Delhi University.
5. FMS Delhi MBA Fees
FMS Delhi MBA Fees is substantially increased. Now the FMS Delhi MBA Fees for its 2 years full time course has gone up to Rs.48,000/- per semester (Rs.1.92 lakhs for 2 years) from Rs.25,000/- for two years earlier. The fee is payable at the beginning of the academic year. Students from PWD category shall be exempted from payment of all fees except Admission fee and Identity Card fee.
After many years of keeping its MBA fee at Rs.20,000 to 25,000 for the complete MBA programme, FMS Delhi MBA fees is now increased to Rs. 1.92 lakhs.
Besides this fee, the students have created a registered body, i.e. Management Science Association (MSA), comprising of various societies, which charges membership fee for carrying out student activities. The fee for them is decided by the students from time to time.
Accordingly, the other fee components in FMS Delhi MBA programme are higher than tuition/academic or other fee. The complete fee structure at FMS Delhi is as below:
5.1 FMS MBA Fee Per Semester
FMS Delhi has increased its semester fees by Rs.1000 to Rs.48,780 as compared to earlier fees of Rs.47,780.

Faculty of Management of Delhi University has again achieved 100% placements and has recorded many firsts for the largest MBA 2021-23 batch. 8. FMS Delhi Admission Criteria 2023
FMS Delhi admission criteria is based on entrance exam score, shortlisting criteria and final selection criteria with many changes introduced this year in award of weightages for admission 2023.
8.1 Acceptable Entrance Exam: CAT 2022
- FMS Delhi considers only CAT score for shortlisting and has awarded varying weightage parameters to sectional percentile in CAT 2021 to shortlist the candidates for final selection round
- Applicants who have not taken CAT 2022 are not considered for admission
8.2 Final Admission Selection Round Criteria: From April 17, 2023 onwards
- All the shortlisted candidates must participate in Final selection round for admission to FMS Delhi
- Final selection round for FMS admission 2023 is held in physical mode
- FMS Delhi selection criteria include Discussion on Statement of Purpose, Personal Interview and Extempore speech.
- The Merit list after final admission round is based on CAT 2022 score, performance in SoP Discussion, PI, Extempore, Academic profile.

8.4 FMS Delhi Admission Criteria: Key Changes in Process
Following changes are introduced in FMS Delhi MBA admission criteria and final selection process for 2023-25 batch
- Group Discussion (GD) will not be conducted
- New Component ‘Discussion on Statement of Purpose’ is introduced in final selection
- Personal Interview (PI) round and Extempore may be conducted Online
- Maximum weightage awarded to Personal Interview (PI) Round
- MBA Seats increased to 287 including supernumerary seats
- MBA (Full Time) Programme Fee Increased to Rs.1.92 Lakhs from Rs.25,000/-
- 5 Additional marks are added to the Composite Score in case of women candidates for the purpose of shortlisting
8.5 No GD in Admission 2023
In its admission policy 2023, FMS Delhi has replaced GD round by Discussion on Statement of Purpose (SoP). Earlier it used to award a weightage of 10% to performance in Group Discussion (GD). While GD was conducted before PI, the Extempore with a duration of 2-3 minutes is conducted during the Personal Interview. For the MBA admission 2023, weightage to GD is dropped and PI round is proposed to be conducted in the physical mode for the shortlisted candidates.
9. FMS Delhi Admission Application Process
To apply for MBA admission at FMS Delhi, you had to register and fill the online application form at FMS website. The application form had to be submitted online alongwith the payment of Rs.1000/- application fee (For SC/ST/PWD Application fee is Rs.350/-)
9.1 Online Payment through Internet Payment Gateway
You are directed to the Internet Payment Gateway of the Bank as mentioned in FMS website. Confirm payment through credit card/ debit card or other payment channels. After successful online payment, you will be directed back to the FMS Website. A confirmation of registration will follow.
Please keep ready all your documents like Mark Sheets from class X onwards; category certificate, if any, scanned photograph & signature of required size to upload on the FMS Admission application form.
10. FMS Delhi Admission Eligibility
Following are the salient points that determine FMS Delhi admission eligibility criteria
- The candidate must hold a bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration after class 12, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (in case of the candidate belonging to SC/ST only passing marks are required. In case of OBC/PwD and CW category candidates, 45% marks at graduation are required).
- Applicant must have appeared in CAT 2022 exam and must have scored minimum prescribed sectional and overall percentile to become eligible for next stage of shortlisting
- A candidate appearing for the final year bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed the degree requirements and are awaiting results were also eligible to apply for FMS Delhi Admission 2023 for MBA 2023-25 batch.
11. FMS Delhi Admission 2023: Step by Step Process
Following steps are included in the FMS Delhi Admission process:
Step 1: The candidate must have appeared and scored the minimum required sectional and overall percentile in CAT 2022 to be considered for first stage shortlisting process for admission at FMS Delhi. Candidates are short-listed for PI round from among the candidates who have a valid CAT-2022 score, who have applied to the programme and who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the programme of FMS Delhi.
Step 2: Shortlisted Candidates have to attend PI and extempore round in final selection process from April 17 to 21, 2023. FMS Delhi also expects a consistent and minimum performance in the different parameters of PI round.
Step 3: After the PI round, admission offers are made by FMS Delhi to successful candidates. The final selection is based on performance in CAT, performance in PI round, academics among others. Category wise merit list will be generated based on Final Score
Step 4: Final Admission Offer will be made to the candidates in April/May 2023 on the basis of composite Score arrived after awarding the weightage scores on all the components.
