FMS Delhi is one of the oldest business schools in India, set up in 1954 under the University of Delhi, and it has more than 70 years of legacy in management education. FMS began within the Delhi School of Economics and grew into a full Faculty of the University of Delhi. Its MBA (Full-Time) started in 1967. FMS Delhi leadership and facilities include:

FMS Delhi MBA Courses, Seats and Fees 2027
FMS Delhi offers a two-year MBA (Full-Time) as its flagship programme, along with an MBA Executive, an MBA Executive (Health Care Administration), a Doctoral Programme and a certificate General Management Programme for Defence Officers. The MBA (Full-Time) builds an analytical base in the first year, ends it with a summer internship, and adds core and elective courses with more flexibility in the second year. FMS Delhi MBA Seats 2027: Batch 2027-29 has 314 seats in all: 251 sanctioned seats and 63 supernumerary seats, under University of Delhi reservation rules.

There is no NRI, PIO or NCT of Delhi quota at FMS, and the general merit list includes all candidates in order of merit.

FMS MBA Fees: The FMS MBA fees for Batch 2027-29 are about Rs 65,075 per semester, as per the Information Bulletin 2027-29. At this rate, the fee for all four semesters comes to about Rs 2,60,300. The University of Delhi may revise the FMS Delhi MBA fees before or during the programme.

• Hostel: Non-Delhi students can apply for seven University of Delhi hostels for men and four for women on North Campus.

• Withdrawal and refund: The last date for admission and withdrawal is August 31, 2027, and no refund is given after it.

FMS Executive MBA and Ph.D.: The FMS Delhi executive MBA admission 2027 runs on the same portal and dates. The MBA Executive and MBA Executive (HCA) are evening programmes for Delhi-NCR residents with at least five years of work experience after the qualifying degree, as on April 1, 2027. The FMS Delhi average package in Placement 2026 was Rs 32.27 LPA for Batch 2024-26, as per the official FMS Delhi Final Placement Report 2024-2026. The median CTC was Rs 29.59 LPA. The average CTC of the top 100 students was Rs 45.19 LPA, and the highest CTC was Rs 1.1 crore. FMS Delhi placement trend: The FMS Delhi average package rose 7.2% in 2026, from Rs 30.1 LPA in 2025 to Rs 32.27 LPA. Over two years, the average rose 10.5% from Rs 29.2 LPA in 2024. The median CTC stayed close to Rs 30 LPA in all three years.

Domain-wise FMS Delhi placements: Consulting was the largest domain in 2026 with 84 offers, followed by product, IT and analytics with 64. Marketing and finance had 59 offers each, and general management had 21. Pre-placement offers (PPOs) made up 97 of the 287 offers. The report also notes a 32% rise in recruiters over the previous year.

The FMS Delhi Batch 2024-26 had 307 students, with 46.6% gender diversity and students from more than five countries, as per the Final Placement Report 2024-2026. The top 100 students in the batch had an average CAT percentile of 99.69 and an average quant percentile of 99.02. 24% of the batch came from IITs, NITs, BITS and SRCC, and 29 students (10%) held CA, CFA or FRM qualifications.

FMS Delhi Admission Criteria and MBA Eligibility 2027
The FMS Delhi admission criteria for MBA 2027 are a bachelor's degree after 12 years of schooling with the minimum marks for your category, and a valid CAT 2026 score. The FMS Delhi MBA eligibility marks by category are given below, as per the FMS Information Bulletin 2027-29. An equivalent CGPA is also accepted.

• Final-year students: You can apply whatever your marks so far, but you must meet the minimum marks when results are declared and submit your final results by August 31, 2027.

• CGPA holders: State the equivalent percentage and submit your university's official CGPA to percentage conversion table.

• Category certificates: OBC (NCL) and EWS certificates must be valid on the interview date and on the date of admission. Creamy-layer OBC candidates apply as General.

• Category change: The category chosen at registration cannot be changed later.

Meeting eligibility is only the first filter; the weighted CAT score and the interview stage decide selection, as explained below. FMS Delhi Admission 2027: CAT Cut Off and Admission Without CAT?
FMS Delhi accepts only CAT 2026 scores for MBA (Full-Time) admission, and applicants who have not taken CAT 2026 will not be considered. For FMS Delhi MBA Admission 2027, there is no FMS Delhi MBA admission process without CAT for Indian applicants, and there is no FMS Delhi XAT, CMAT or NMAT cut off; GMAT is accepted only from foreign nationals.

Can you get FMS Delhi admission without CAT? Only foreign nationals can. They apply through the University of Delhi Foreign Students' Registry with a GMAT score of 650 or a GRE score of 320, and a completed degree taught in English. ICCR or home-government scholarship holders are exempt from the GMAT or GRE rule. FMS has 25 foreign student seats: 8 for SAARC countries and 17 for others.

FMS Delhi CAT cut off: FMS does not announce a cut off before the process; it posts admission lists, cut-offs, merit lists and waiting lists on its website. Going by past trends, the FMS Delhi CAT cut off is expected in the range of 98 to 99 percentile. For reference, the top 100 students of Batch 2024-26 averaged the 99.69 percentile in CAT. Since shortlisting uses weighted sectional scores, sectional performance matters as much as the overall percentile.

FMS MBA Selection Process 2027: CAT, SOP, Extempore and PI
The FMS MBA selection process 2027 has two stages: shortlisting on a weighted CAT 2026 score, and a final merit list built from the CAT score, Class X and XII marks, a Discussion on Statement of Purpose, an Extempore and a Personal Interview. These two stages are the core of the FMS MBA admission process, and the official weightage has no group discussion or written ability test.

Stage 1, shortlisting: To encourage diversity of gender and academic disciplines, FMS gives different weights to the three CAT 2026 sections. FMS also adds 5 marks to the weighted score of women candidates for shortlisting.

FMS Delhi Admission Process 2027: Explained
How to Get Admission in FMS Delhi for MBA? The FMS Delhi MBA admission process 2027 runs in six steps, from CAT 2026 to the final admission:

1. Take CAT 2026: Register for and appear in CAT 2026, as FMS uses your sectional scores.

2. Apply to FMS separately: Register on the FMS admission portal, fill the FMS Delhi admission form 2027 with your CAT 2026 Registration Number, and pay the fee by November 25, 2026. 

3. Shortlisting: FMS shortlists candidates on the weighted CAT 2026 score (VARC 40%, DILR 30%, QA 30%), with 5 extra marks for women.

4. Interview stage: Shortlisted candidates take the Discussion on Statement of Purpose, Extempore and Personal Interview in the 2nd or 3rd week of April 2027.

5. Result: FMS declares the result in the 3rd or 4th week of April 2027 and posts admission lists, merit lists and waiting lists on its website.

6. Admission: Selected candidates complete admission with original documents, and final-year graduates submit their final results by August 31, 2027.

FMS Admission Official Website, Login and Help Desk: The FMS admission portal for Admission 2027 is fmsadmissions.co.in, the online admissions website of the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi. Candidates use it to register, log in, fill the form and pay the fee for all FMS programmes. The FMS admission official website for programme details, notices and results remains fms.edu. FMS posts all notifications, including admission lists, cut-offs, merit lists and waiting lists, on fms.edu, and fms.edu itself links to this portal as its Online Admissions Portal.

The FMS Delhi MBA application form is filled online only, on the FMS admission portal, in eight steps. MBA (Full-Time) applicants skip step 4, which is only for Ph.D. applicants.

1. Registration: Enter basic details and verify your email ID and mobile number with OTPs to get your Application No.

2. Programme selection: Choose the MBA (Full-Time) and enter your 8-digit CAT 2026 Registration Number twice, with the CAT year.

3. Personal details: Category, reservation, parents' occupations and contact details.

4. Ph.D. details: Research area, entrance exam and research proposal (Ph.D. applicants only).

5. Education and experience: Qualifications and work experience.

6. Upload documents: Photograph and signature.

7. Verify and declare: Review all details and accept the declaration.

8. Fee payment: Pay the fee online; the application is submitted only when the payment succeeds.

After a successful payment, your dashboard shows the status Submitted, and you can print the form. Other than the details fixed at registration, everything can be edited until the fee is paid.

The fee is charged for each programme and is non-refundable. Pay by card or other online channels through the bank gateway. If a payment fails but money is deducted, do not pay again; check the Payment step after logging in, as banks usually reverse the amount within 5 to 7 working days.

• Email ID: Use an email ID you check daily, as FMS communicates only by email.

• Category: Your category cannot be changed after registration, though you may also apply under CW, PWD, WT or WNT where eligible.

• Certificates: Keep your OBC (NCL) or EWS certificate valid up to the date of admission.
