IMI New Delhi is closing its application process for PGDM admission 2022 on January 27 and no further extension in last date is expected.

IMI New Delhi has made many changes in its Admission 2022 Policy in order to attract top quality talent. For admission 2022-24 batch, IMI will accept both CAT 2021 and XAT 2022 exam instead of CAT only. 5.1 Acceptable Entrance Exams: XAT Score Added
For admission 2022, IMI New Delhi will accept XAT 2022 exam score also, along with CAT 2021 and GMAT (not more three years old) score .

5.2 IMI New Delhi Admission Cut Off  
With a view to encourage diversity across multiple dimensions and in line with the changing profile based policy of top IIMs, IMI New Delhi will use moderate entrance exam cut off in shortlisting for final selection round provided other dimensions of student quality are very good.

5.3 IMI New Delhi Shortlisting Criteria: Quality Parameters Matter More
The Shortlisting Criteria for Final Selection Round at IMI New Delhi has been changed for Admission 2022. Entrance Exam Scores will no longer be the only criteria.

Sharing this important update, Dr Das told MBAUniverse.com, “In the past shortlisting for the personal assessment phase was only based on entrance exam scores. This year we will do profile based shortlisting through the computation of a composite score based on different weights for multiple parameters that will include:

  1. Entrance Exam Scores
  2. Past Academic Performance
  3. Diversity measures across multiple dimensions, work experience, etc.

This new approach is expected to help us identify superior profiles by looking at a more diversified set of high quality students beyond only the entrance exam score performance.” 

5.4 Final Selection Based on Multiple Parameters
Final Selection 2022 is based on the Personal Assessment round, which will have components like Essay Writing and Personal Interview. 

  • Final Admission offer at IMI New Delhi  will be based on entrance exam scores, past academic performance in graduation, class XII & X, Personal Assessment, quality of work experience, diversity across multiple dimensions, and extra-curricular activities
  • The overall objective is to identify and assess the candidate’s potential for a managerial career.

6. IMI New Delhi Admission Eligibility
There is common eligibility criteria for admission to IMI New Delhi PGDM/PGDM (HRM)/PGDM (B&FS) programmes.

  • The applicant must hold a minimum 3 years’ bachelor's degree recognized by AIU (Association of Indian Universities), with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA
  • A candidate appearing for the final year bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed the degree requirements and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply.
  • Apart from a recognized graduate degree, the candidate should appear in CAT 2021/XAT 2022/GMAT not more than three years ago, and must score the required cut off
  • Candidates with Foreign Nationality are also eligible, based on their GMAT scores, provided they have taken the GMAT test not more than three years ago (not earlier than January 2019 and not later than January 2022).
