MDI Gurgaon Overview: The Legacy and Location Advantage
MDI Gurgaon, set up in 1973, is a top B-school in India with International accreditations and high placement records. MDI Gurgaon Admission 2027: What's New
Three points in the official notice for Batch 2027-29 matter most to applicants this year:

• GMAT route for PGDM-IB: applicants who apply only to the PGDM-IB programme may use a GMAT score in place of CAT 2026. The GMAT must be taken at a test centre, not online, between 1 January and 28 November 2026, and the score cannot be used for any other programme.

• PGDM-BFS on the common form: the PGDM in Banking and Financial Services, run by MDI Gurgaon's School of Management of Financial Institutions (SoMFI), is approved by AICTE from 2026-27 and is listed on the common MDI application form, with CAT 2026 as the entrance test.

• Six interview cities: WAT, GD and PI rounds run between February and April 2027 in Bengaluru, Gurugram, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Mumbai. Centres other than Gurugram are tentative.

MDI Gurgaon Scholarships 2027
MDI Gurgaon supports PGDM students through merit and need-based scholarships, as shared by the institute with MBAUniverse.com.

• Merit-cum-means scholarships: 12 every year, each a 50% tuition fee waiver, for students from economically weaker sections in the PGDM, PGDM-HRM, PGDM-IB and PGDM-Business Analytics.

• O.P. Jindal scholarship: Rs 1,50,000 for second-year students.

• Merit awards: Rs 10,000 each for the top five PGDM students at the end of the second year.

• Tuition fee waiver seats: up to 5% over the approved intake of each course, as per AICTE and MDI guidelines.

• Education loans: MDI Gurgaon has tie-ups with many banks, and candidates apply at the bank with their admission offer letter.

MDI Gurgaon Courses and Fees 2027
MDI Gurgaon offers five two-year, full-time, residential PGDM programmes for Batch 2027-29, which the institute describes as MBA-equivalent. Admission to all five is through one common MDI application form.

• MDI Gurgaon PGDM (240 seats): the flagship programme, run over six terms of about three months each. Students take an eight to ten week summer internship after Term 3 and can specialise in up to two areas in the second year. MDI Gurgaon PGDM 2027

• MDI Gurgaon PGDM-IB (120 seats): a dual-degree programme. Students spend two semesters at emlyon business school, Lyon, or ESCP Business School, France, allocated at random, and earn a Master in Management from the partner school. • MDI Gurgaon PGDM-BFS: for fresh graduates and professionals with under three years' experience who aim for careers in banking, risk management, fintech, asset management and financial markets. Seats and fees: more information will be published soon.

The MDI Gurgaon MBA fees for Batch 2027-29 are Rs 26,55,310 for the PGDM, PGDM-HRM and PGDM-Business Analytics: Rs 13,48,905 in the first year and Rs 13,06,405 in the second year. Tuition accounts for Rs 19,23,010 of the total, and the rest covers boarding, lodging, learning material, student activities, library, the alumni fee and a security deposit. The fee is paid in three instalments: Rs 6,00,000 at admission (April to July 2027), Rs 7,48,905 between 15 and 31 October 2027, and Rs 13,06,405 between 1 and 15 May 2028. MDI Gurgaon PGDM Banking and Financial Services 
MDI Gurgaon, under its new School of Management of Financial Institutions (SoMFI), has launched 2-year, Full-Time, residential Post Graduate Diploma in Management in Banking and Financial Services (PGDM-BFS) is approved by the All-India Council for Technical Education, Government of India from the forthcoming academic year 2026-27 at the MDI Gurgaon campus. PGDM-BFS will target fresh graduates and working professionals with under three years’ experience who aspire to build their careers in the banking and financial services domain, including Commercial, Retail, and Investment Banking, Risk Management, BFS Consulting, Fintech, Asset Management, Quantitative Finance, and Financial Markets. The primary differentiation of PGDM-BFS is an in-depth coverage of banking and finance domain knowledge and skillsets, electives benchmarked to BFS industry needs, specialization tracks mapped to career opportunities in the BFSI industry, curated and co-created in collaboration with leading Indian and global academic and industry partners.

MDI Gurgaon placements 2026 for Batch 2024-26 covered 586 students across four programmes, with 157 recruiters, 189 pre-placement offers (PPOs) and a highest CTC of Rs 97.50 LPA. As per MDI Gurgaon Final Placement Report 2026, the average CTC for the flagship PGDM was Rs 29.50 LPA, and the median was Rs 29.00 LPA. The highest international CTC was Rs 80.20 LPA, and the report records an 81.90% rise in the highest CTC. The batch had a 1:1 gender ratio and an average work experience of 27 months. MDI Admission 2027: How to Get Admission in MDI Gurgaon for MBA
The MDI Gurgaon admission process 2027 runs in five steps:

1. Take CAT 2026: the exam is on 29 November 2026. Applicants to PGDM-IB alone may use a GMAT score instead. Prepare with the MBAUniverse.com CAT 2026 guide.
2. Apply to MDI separately: fill the MDI Gurgaon admission form 2027 by 28 November 2026. Apply now.
3. Stage I shortlisting: MDI shortlists candidates for WAT-GD-PI on their CAT score and profile, with CAT carrying 65% weight.
4. Stage II WAT, GD, PI and BAT: shortlisted candidates take the Written Analysis Test, Group Discussion, Personal Interview and Behavioural Assessment Test between February and April 2027.
5. Final selection and result: the MDI Gurgaon admission result 2027, with final selection, is shared with candidates in April 2027.

The MDI admission process is the same for all five MDI Gurgaon programmes. At the offer stage, candidates learn their status for every programme they selected in the form. MDI Gurgaon has no management or institutional quota, and admission is purely on merit.

MDI Gurgaon Admission Criteria 2027
The MDI Gurgaon admission criteria for Batch 2027-29 are as follows:

• Class 10 and 12: at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in both.
• Graduation: a bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA, from a university recognised by AICTE, AIU or the Ministry of HRD. The degree must be of at least three years for PGDM, PGDM-HRM, PGDM-Business Analytics and PGDM-BFS, and four years for PGDM-IB.
• Final-year students: may apply to PGDM, PGDM-HRM, PGDM-Business Analytics and PGDM-BFS if they complete their degree by 30 June 2027 and submit proof by 31 October 2027.
• CGPA conversion: based on the university's own scheme; where there is none, MDI multiplies the CGPA by 9.5.
• Entrance test: CAT 2026 score for all programmes; GMAT only for PGDM-IB applicants and for NRI and international applicants.
• NRI and international applicants: apply with a valid GMAT score and, if shortlisted, face interviews in April 2027 under Government of India rules.

MDI Gurgaon CAT Cut Off 2027
MDI Gurgaon Admission 2027 is through CAT 2026 for all five PGDM programmes. GMAT is accepted in only two cases: from applicants who apply only to PGDM-IB, and from NRI and international applicants. Does MDI Gurgaon accept XAT? No. MDI Gurgaon does not use XAT, CMAT, MAT, NMAT or SNAP scores, so there is no MDI Gurgaon XAT or CMAT cut off.

On the MDI Gurgaon CAT cut off, the institute's official admissions policy states that it considers both the overall CAT score and all sectional cut offs when shortlisting candidates for WAT-GD-PI. MDI Gurgaon has not announced the cut off figures for Admission 2027. CAT carries 65% weight in Stage I shortlisting and 35% in final selection, so a strong overall and sectional CAT 2026 performance matters at both stages. MDI Gurgaon Application Form 2027: How to Fill the MDI Gurgaon Form
Here is a step-by-step guide to filling the MDI Gurgaon admission form 2027.

1. Sign up: open the official MDI application form link on this page and enter your name, father's and mother's names, email ID, password, country and mobile number. Activate the account with the OTP sent to your email and mobile.
2. Test and personal details: enter your CAT 2026 registration number (or GMAT details for PGDM-IB) and your address.
3. Photo and signature: upload both in the required size.
4. Work experience: add your full-time work experience accurately, as false details lead to cancellation at any stage.
5. Extracurricular activities: add sports, cultural and literary achievements at inter-college level and above.
6. Documents: upload your identity proof and your Class 10, Class 12 and graduation marksheets or degree.
7. Programmes and payment: select every MDI Gurgaon programme you want, choose MDI Gurgaon, MDI Murshidabad or both, and pay the fee online.

Details entered in the form cannot be changed later, so check every field before you pay. There is no MDI form correction window.

MDI Gurgaon Selection Process and Weightage 2027
The MDI Gurgaon selection process for Batch 2027-29 has two stages, and the institute has published the proposed weightage below for the PGDM, PGDM-HRM, PGDM-IB and PGDM-Business Analytics. GMAT replaces CAT in these tables only for PGDM-IB applicants. In Stage I, MDI shortlists candidates for WAT-GD-PI on the details in the application form and their CAT score.

MDI Gurgaon Behavioural Assessment Test (BAT)
The MDI Gurgaon Selection Criteria includes a compulsory Behavioural Assessment Test (BAT) as part of its Stage-II selection process, carrying a 5% weightage in the final merit list. Overview of MDI BAT Test is given below: 

• Purpose: Evaluates personality traits, cultural fit, emotional intelligence, leadership potential, ethical conduct, adaptability, and stress handling rather than academic or technical knowledge.
• Format: Multiple-choice or scenario-based questions designed to measure behavioral consistency and authentic tendencies.
• Weightage: Accounts for 5% of the final selection score (alongside CAT 35%, PI 20%, GD 10%, WAT 5%, Work Experience 10%, Graduation 5%, and Diversity 10%).
