Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM)

MDI Gurgaon Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) is the flagship programme of MDI Gurgaon. The two-year full-time MDI PGDM programme is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India and recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) as equivalent to an MBA degree of an Indian University. MDI Gurgaon PGDM is consistently rated among India’s top 10 MBA programmes in India.

MDI Gurgaon PGDM curriculum is structured over six terms of about three months each, spread across two academic years. The first four terms cover the core courses, with the majority completed in the initial three terms, providing students with a strong foundation in management. After Term 3, every student undertakes a compulsory summer internship of eight to ten weeks to gain practical exposure. In the second year, students can choose elective courses to specialize in up to two functional areas from Accounting & Finance, Operations Management, Marketing, Strategy, or Information Management. MDI Gurgaon follows a continuous evaluation system, where students earn letter grades in each course, and the Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) is computed as the credit-weighted average of all grade points earned. MDI Gurgaon curriculum is constantly revised on an ongoing basis with practitioner input.

MDI Gurgaon PGDM teaching methods include lectures, case studies, seminars, assignments, live pro-jects, group discussions, business games, outbound based experiential learning activities, educational excursions, role plays, simulation exercises, group work, and field visits.

MDI PGDM students can also study for one term in a partner foreign institution in lieu of his/her study term at MDI. A number of international scholarships are available for these students. 

• O.P. Jindal scholarship of INR 1,50,000 for second year students.
• At the end of the second year, MDI Gurgaon awards five merit scholarships of INR 10, 000/- each to the top five students.
• MDI Gurgaon offers merit-cum-means Scholarship scheme for the meritorious students to pursue PGDM courses at MDI Gurgaon belonging to economically weaker Sections (EWS). MDI provides 12 merit cum means scholarships (50% waiver of tuition fees) every year to the students pursuing two-year full time PGDM/PGDM-HRM/PGDM-IB/PGDM-Business Analytics at MDI Gurgaon starting from AY 2021-22.
• Several international scholarships are also available for MDI Gurgaon PGDM students going on the exchange programme to select partner institutions, e.g Sciences Po Lille, University or Maribor, NUCB Business School, Japan.

MDI Gurgaon PGDM admission can be divided into following stages: 

• The candidates seeking admission to MDI Gurgaon PGDM programme must appear in CAT exam
  Then, candidate should apply separately for MDI admission. MDI application process is open from Thursday, 25th September 2025, till Friday, November 28, 2025.
• Shortlisting of candidates for the GDPI process will be done on the basis of the details provided in the application form and their CAT scores.
• Shortlisted candidates will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interviews at a center in Bangalore, Gurugram, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai and Mumbai.
• The final selection of the candidates will be based on weightages of CAT scores, WAT-GD-PI, Behavioral Assessment test, Academic merit, Academic diversity, Work experience, and social diversity etc as per weightages given in Table below.

How to Apply for Admission at MDI Gurgaon?

MDI application form is available at MDI website. Apply now. You need to complete MDI application form filling in following steps:

Step 1: Fill Personal Details
On the first page you should fill your name, father’s & mother’s name, email ID, Password, Country, Mobile number and submit at Sign up column. After completing the step 1, you will receive the confirmation message. You should now click on ‘Activate Your Account’. An OTP will be received by you on email and mobile, verify it and proceed to complete the remaining part of MDI registration process

Step 2: Complete CAT Registration & Personal Details
On the next page, you need to fill information on CAT registration number and personal details with address.

Step 3: Upload Photo & Signature
After completing your entrance exam details and personal details, now you should upload your photo and signature of required size as below.

Step 4: Fill Your Work Experience
The next step is to fill your work experience details. All the details should be correct else your candidature may be cancelled.

Step 5: Fill the Details of Extra Curricular Activities
On this page of MDI Application form, you need to fill the correct details of your extracurricular activities of inter-collegiate, institute and higher level of sports, cultural, literary and others

Step 6: Document Details
The required documents are to be uploaded on this page of requisite size like copy of Identification, Class 10, 12 and graduation marksheet/degree among others. 

MDI Gurgaon application fees is Rs. 3,000, inclusive of 18% GST. Candidates can select all the MDI programmes they wish to apply for, and pay the fees online.

After completing the above steps, your MDI application form is complete.
