John Micklethwait, current editor of The Economist, will chair the forum.

As a run up to the event, this is what Said Business School has to be say about the event: “Whether the issue is growth through the development of Special Economic Zones, adopting models of public-private partnership, investing in the education sector or finding new ways and means of building capacity, the challenges before India today are a microcosm of those in the world. A clear understanding of the issues confronting India and their innovative solutions, as India transitions from poverty to prosperity, are likely to form a useful guide to countries across the globe attempting similar transitions. At the forthcoming Oxford India Business Forum, a prestigious panel of globally renowned speakers will debate and explore the notions of development confronting India.”

The annual Oxford India Business Forum is billed as a platform for global business leaders, academics, policy-makers and sector specialists to debate on issues affecting business, economic and social growth.
