MBAUniverse.com - iNext MBA Fair ‘Management Avenues’ launched; hundreds of MBA aspirants participate

India’s leading management portal MBAUniverse.com and Dainik Jagran’s iNext newspaper jointly held the first editions of the 9-city MBA seminar, fair & counseling event – Management Avenues 2009 last weekend.

The event was kicked off in Meerut on March 7, 2009 and then held in Dehradun on March 8, 2009. Management Avenues saw seminar by management gurus, CAT experts and students from IIMs addressing the dilemmas of MBA aspirants. 

The first edition of Management Avenues, held in Meerut, saw the participation of over 250 keen MBA aspirants, and over 200 MBA aspirants participated in Dehradun. 

Prof MM Pant, Former Faculty at IIT Kanpur and University of Western Ontario, London; experts from MBAUniverse.com; Mr Manish Saraf, Chief Operating Officer, PT Education; Pankaj Bhatt and Ankur Chakraborty, PGP students of IIM Lucknow and executives from corporate sector spoke at the seminar.

Prof Pant said, “Youth is fortunate to be living in the era of plenty of choices about their career and education. However, these choices come with some confusion and responsibility. Students keen on management education should be active learners and ask the right questions. They should enroll into an institute that fits with their passion and aspirations.”

Talking about the relevance of management education in recession times, Prof Pant advised the students: “Think for the long term! Indian economy will recover in next few years and by that time your MBA will be a good asset.”

Addressing the students, Mr Saraf said, “Good ‘Aptitude’ and positive ‘Attitude’ are the two most important things which are essential for the entrance process in management education. MBA aspirants should have good aptitude for their entrance and positive attitude for Group Discussion and Personal Interview.”

Pankaj Bhatt and Ankur Chakraborty shared their experiences at IIM L and give tips on MBA entrance preparations to the keen MBA aspirants.
