FMS to hold Marketing Conclave on Indian Consumer trends

Recognizing the importance of the changing Indian consumer and the challenges that marketers face, the the marketing society of MBA-Management of Services at Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), Delhi, is organizing a marketing conclave,Markitrend."

The Conclave's focus is on “The New Indian Consumer: A Conundrum to Solve?” and will be held on September 18 in Delhi, South Campus. The conclave will host eminent speakers from leading companies like Nokia, Sony India, Domino’s Pizza, Moser Baer, Future Group, Reliance, Maruti Udyog Limited, FCB Ulka and Lupin.

On the occasion, leaders from the industry will debate on how strategies of the marketers change with the changing consumer trends. According to FMS, “The conclave is aimed to share the perspectives of corporate leaders on the New Indian Consumer and enrich the knowledge base of students… The conclave is expected to analyze customer and market changes, and facilitate the understanding of the impact of these changes on consumption, brands, and the way in which marketing is being redefined with the new Indian consumer.”

To analyze these issues, the conclave will be held in two sessions. The first session will discuss ‘Customer Service’, while the second session will be on ‘New Segments, New Customers’. These issues will be discussed by corporate leaders like Mr Alok Mehta, Marketing Head, Multimedia, Nokia; Mr Harish Narula, President, Lupin; Mr Anuj Gandhi, former President, Sony India; Mr Shiveshwar Raj, Creative Director (India), FCB Ulka; Mr Dev Amritesh, Vice President, Domino’s Pizza; Mr Rakesh Agarwal, COO, Moser Baer; Mr Chinar Deshpande, CIO, Future Group; Mr Prashant Misra, Vice President, Reliance; and Mr Ravi Bhatia, Chief General Manager, Maruti Udyog Limited.

According to FMS, “The conclave will help students to gain insights into how Customer Service can be a key differentiating factor and how its growing importance is perceived by Indian consumers. It will also make them understand how ‘New Segments and New Customers’ are evolving and how marketers are equipping themselves to take on this challenge.”
