The Master of Management Studies - Public Policy (MMS-PP) was introduced in 2002 as a post graduate diploma programme (PGPPM) by the Centre for Public Policy (CPP), which was established by IIMB with initial support from the Department of Personnel and Training, GOI and UNDP. After the passing of IIM Act 2017, IIM Bangalore has started awarding MBA degree instead of diploma and as such the programme name was changed to MMSPP.
