IIFT exam pattern 2021 has been changed for MBA admission 2021. Not only IIFT entrance exam has now become a computer based test as against the earlier paper based test, the National Testing Agency (NTA) which will conduct IIFT MBA 2021 entrance exam on January 24, 2021 has changed its number of sections, number of questions, scoring pattern among other changes. Last date to apply closes on December 20, 2020
NTA will conduct IIFT 2021 admission test in a single session as computer based exam.
Key Changes in IIFT 2021 Exam Pattern
NTA has brought about the following key changes in the IIFT 2021 MBA entrance test:
- IIFT 2021 exam timing is changed to 3PM-5PM as against 10AM-12 Noon
- IIFT Entrance exam is now a computer based test and not a paper based test
- IIFT 2021 exam has 4 Major Sections instead of 6 earlier.
- Each section has different number of questions
- IIFT exam is now conducted by NTA and not by IIFT
- VARC, Quant, DILR had same scoring pattern while GK has different scoring pattern
- 4-5 RC Passages followed by 14-16 questions will appear in the exam. Passages are of moderate difficulty level
- IIFT proposes to launch its new Kakinada campus with 60 seats in 2021
- Dar-es-Salaam campus of IIFT has also started operating
IIFT exam pattern consists of multiple choice objective type questions. The computer based IIFT 2021exam is of 2 hours duration. IIFT paper pattern 2021 is a single session test and the exam will be held in 68 test cities across India on January 24, 2021.
IIFT 2021 Exam: Test Pattern
IIFT 2021 entrance test consists of multiple choice objective type questions (MCQs). IIFT 2021 pattern is divided into 4 sections comprising questions on Verbal Ability; English Reading Comprehension; General Knowledge & Awareness; Logical Reasoning; Data Interpretation and Quantitative Analysis. IIFT 2021 paper Pattern: Important Points
- The number of sections in IIFT paper pattern 2021 has been reduced to four from earlier six
- The Verbal Ability and Reading comprehension in the revised IIFT paper pattern have now been clubbed as a single session
- Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning are also clubbed as a single session now. Candidates can attempt and compensate DI questions to LR questions.
- Number of questions is reduced to 110 in IIFT exam pattern from earlier 120+. There are no fixed number of questions in IIFT entrance test. Their number may go anywhere in the range of 110 to 130. IIFT 2020 had 110 questions. IIFT 2019 & IIFT 2018 had 114 questions, IIFT 2017 had 123 questions while IIFT 2016 had 124 questions in MCQ format.
- Maximum overall marks in IIFT test pattern are 300. A penalty of 1/3rd marks is awarded for every wrong answer. The candidates therefore have to be careful to avoid this negative marking by choosing the answer options with well calculated thought process.
IIFT Exam Timing, Reporting Time
The IIFT exam timing is from 3PM to 5PM while the IIFT exam 2021 reporting time is 1 P.M. No candidate is permitted to enter the IIFT test centre after 2.30 PM. The pre exam activities at IIFT exam centre, like Entry in the Examination Centre/Hall/Room, physical frisking, document verification, Invigilators recording manual attendance and Biometric registration at registration desk, Cross checking of admit card, signature and photo match, are completed by the invigilator latest by2:30 P.M. After this the invigilators in the IIFT testing hall start issuing the instructions to the candidates.

IIFT Exam Centres 2021
IIFT exam cities 2021 are 68 in number. Apart from the other IIFT exam cities, the IIFT 2021 test cities include the National Capital Delhi and most of the State Capitals.
On the basis of IIFT 2021 entrance exam merit, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade will shortlist the candidates for 420 seats in MBA (IB) 2021-23 batch at its Delhi, Kolkata and the Kakinada campuses.
The major sections consists of English Grammar, Vocabulary and Comprehension; General Knowledge & Current Affairs; Logical Reasoning & Data Interpretation and Quantitative Analysis. There is no sectional time constraint.
