IIFT Overview: The Legacy and Location Advantage
IIFT is one of India's top-ranked B-schools, with AACSB accreditation, a NAAC A+ grade and a 17th rank in the NIRF India Rankings 2025. The Government of India set up IIFT in 1963 under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to build skills for India's external trade sector, and IIFT became a Deemed to be University in 2002.

IIFT teaches its MBA (International Business) at Delhi, Kolkata, Kakinada and GIFT City, and its MBA (Business Analytics) at Delhi, so IIFT Delhi MBA Admission 2027 covers both programmes.

IIFT Admission 2027 applications opened on October 12, 2026, and close on November 25, 2026, 11:59 PM. The MBA (IB) and MBA (BA) need separate registrations, and the MBA (IB) application covers all four campuses.

IIFT Campuses 2027: Delhi, Kolkata, Kakinada and GIFT City
IIFT runs its MBA (International Business) at four campuses with 720 seats in all, and its MBA (Business Analytics) at Delhi with 60 seats, as per the official IIFT brochure.

• IIFT Delhi: a 6.5-acre campus in Qutub Institutional Area with a 450-seat auditorium. It has 240 MBA (IB) seats and all 60 MBA (BA) seats.
• IIFT Kolkata: a green campus of about 7 acres off EM Bypass. Aspirants seeking IIFT Kolkata MBA admission compete for 240 MBA (IB) seats.
• IIFT Kakinada: a 25-acre permanent campus in coastal Andhra Pradesh, with 120 MBA (IB) seats.
• IIFT GIFT City: on the 16th and 17th floors of GIFT Tower-2, Gandhinagar, among more than 700 financial, fintech and logistics companies, with 120 MBA (IB) seats.

Seats at all four campuses are reserved as per Government of India norms.

IIFT MBA Courses and Fees 2027
IIFT offers two full-time, two-year MBA programmes for Batch 2027-29, each run over six trimesters with 120 credits.

• IIFT MBA (International Business): a general management programme focused on international business, with trade operations and documentation, a foreign language, a port visit, a summer internship and 18 electives. IIFT MBA (IB) 2027
• IIFT MBA (Business Analytics): analytics from the first trimester, covering statistical inference, R or Python, natural language processing and machine learning, with 12 analytics and 6 management electives. IIFT MBA (BA) 2027

The IIFT MBA fees for the MBA (IB) Batch 2026-28 were Rs 19.73 lakh at all four campuses, and Rs 17.93 lakh for the MBA (BA), as per the official IIFT brochure, covering tuition and other charges. IIFT will share the exact Batch 2027-29 fee with the offer letters.

• Hostel and mess: Rs 1.35 lakh a year (double) or Rs 1.08 lakh (triple) at Delhi; Rs 1.06 lakh (single) or Rs 91,000 (double) at Kolkata; Rs 1.35 lakh (double) at Kakinada and GIFT City.
• Refundable security: Rs 10,000 for hostel and library at each campus.
• Fee concession: SC, ST and PWD students get a 50% concession on the tuition fee only.

IIFT Scholarships 2027
IIFT supports MBA students through a merit-cum-means scholarship, Government of India scholarships and an Exim Bank scholarship, as per the official IIFT brochure.

• New Scholarship Scheme (NSS): 20% of the tuition fee for 10% of admitted students, on a merit-cum-means basis, for students with family income below Rs 8.00 lakh a year (ceiling subject to revision).
• Government of India scholarships: central schemes on the National Scholarship Portal for SC, ST, OBC, minority and disabled students.
• Exim Bank scholarship: set up in 1985 for the SC and ST topper at IIFT, equal to the first-year tuition fee of the MBA (IB), up to Rs 3.50 lakh.

IIFT Placements 2025
IIFT Placements 2025 for the MBA (IB) Batch 2023-25 recorded an average CTC of Rs 31.30 LPA, a median of Rs 26 LPA and a highest international CTC of Rs 1.23 crore, with 135 recruiters, as per the IIFT Final Placement Highlights 2025. The first MBA (Business Analytics) batch recorded an average CTC of Rs 25.30 LPA with 25 recruiters.

Each campus runs placements through its own CRCAD. Students take an eight to ten week summer internship from April to mid-June, and final placements run from December to February.

Against Batch 2022-24, the IIFT MBA (IB) average CTC rose about 15%, the highest CTC 44%, the top 25% average 22% and recruiters 12.5%.

IIFT Batch Profile 2024-26
The IIFT batch profile for the Batch of 2026 shows a mix of freshers and experienced students from many academic streams. Engineers form 40% of the MBA (IB) batch and 41% of the MBA (BA) batch, and commerce graduates 32% and 33%. Freshers make up 42% of the MBA (IB) batch and 40% of the MBA (BA) batch, and the average work experience is 22 months and 17 months.

For aspirants, the profile shows that IIFT admits both freshers and working professionals, and that non-engineers make up about 60% of each batch.

IIFT Rankings 2026: Is IIFT Good for MBA?
IIFT is ranked 17th in the NIRF India Rankings 2025 and 10th in the MBAUniverse.com B-School Ranking 2026, with AACSB accreditation and a NAAC A+ grade. Is IIFT good for MBA? IIFT Admission 2027: How to Get Admission in IIFT Delhi for MBA

The IIFT MBA admission process 2027 runs in six steps, and the same steps apply to IIFT Delhi MBA Admission 2027 and to the Kolkata, Kakinada and GIFT City campuses:

1. Take CAT 2026: IIFT uses the CAT 2026 exam score, and the exam is on November 29, 2026. IIMs have no role in IIFT's selection.
2. Apply to IIFT separately: fill the IIFT MBA admission form 2027 for the MBA (IB), the MBA (BA) or both, and pay the fee by November 25, 2026, 11:59 PM. Apply now.
3. Shortlisting: IIFT shortlists candidates on the CAT 2026 score and other defined parameters, and publishes the list for the second round on its website in the last week of January 2027.
4. Group Discussion and Personal Interview: shortlisted candidates take the GD and PI in physical mode from February 2027 onwards at one of 10 centres.
5. Final result: the IIFT MBA admission result 2027, the final list of selected candidates, is declared in the last week of April 2027.
6. Join IIFT: the programmes begin in June 2027, and final-year students submit proof of graduation by October 31, 2027.

There is no IIFT Delhi MBA direct admission route. As per the official IIFT brochure, all MBA (IB) and MBA (BA) seats are filled through the CAT 2026 score, shortlisting and the GD and PI round.

IIFT MBA Admission Eligibility and Criteria 2027
The IIFT MBA admission eligibility for Batch 2027-29 is a recognised bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks and a CAT 2026 score, with extra subject rules for the MBA (BA). The IIFT admission criteria for MBA aspirants, as per the official IIFT brochure, are set out below.

• Final-year students: admission is provisional and is cancelled if the candidate does not reach the minimum marks; no extension is given for re-evaluation.
• Category certificate: SC, ST, PWD, OBC (NCL), General-EWS and Kashmiri Migrant candidates upload it with the form, and the category cannot be changed later.

IIFT MBA Admission 2027: CAT Cut Off and Entrance Exam
IIFT MBA Admission 2027 is through CAT 2026 only, as the official IIFT brochure states that IIFT will use the CAT 2026 score to shortlist and select candidates. Is IIFT taking CAT score? Yes. The IIFT entrance exam 2027 is CAT 2026, and there is no IIFT XAT, GMAT or CMAT cut off for this cycle.

Can I apply for IIFT without a CAT? No. The CAT 2026 score is the basis for shortlisting, and the IIFT form asks for the CAT 2026 application copy, so candidates must register for CAT 2026 first.

On the IIFT MBA admission CAT cut off, the official IIFT brochure does not publish cut off figures, as IIFT shortlists on the CAT 2026 score and other defined parameters. Going by past trends, the expected IIFT CAT cut off for 2027 is around 93 to 95 percentile. IIFT publishes the shortlist for the second round in the last week of January 2027. IIFT Application Form 2027: How to Fill the IIFT MBA Admission Form
The IIFT MBA admission form 2027 is filled online, and candidates register and apply separately for the MBA (IB) and the MBA (BA). Here is a step-by-step guide to the IIFT application 2027, from the portal login to the printout.

1. Create your IIFT admission portal login: open the official IIFT application form link on this page, choose "Fresh Candidate to create Log In", register with a valid email ID and set a password. These first details cannot be changed later.
2. Keep documents ready: scan the documents in Table 7 in the required formats and sizes.
3. Log in and fill the form: choose "Log In to your account", fill your details carefully and click "SAVE".
4. Upload photograph and signature: a recent colour photograph and your signature in black ink, in JPG or JPEG.
5. Upload documents: add PDF copies of your marksheets, graduation document, certificates (if applicable) and CAT 2026 application copy.
6. Pay the fee: accept the undertaking and pay by debit card, credit card, net banking or UPI to get your application number. The form cannot be edited after submission.
7. Print the form: keep a printout for your records. You do not post it or any documents to IIFT.

The fee is not refunded once paid, payments by any mode other than debit card, credit card, net banking or UPI are rejected, and incomplete applications are rejected. The last date for registration and payment is November 25, 2026, 11:59 PM.

IIFT Selection Process 2027: Group Discussion and Personal Interview
The IIFT selection process for Batch 2027-29 has three stages: shortlisting on the CAT 2026 score and other defined parameters, a Group Discussion and Personal Interview, and the final result. As part of the IIFT MBA admission process, IIFT publishes the shortlist in the last week of January 2027 and holds the GD and PI in physical mode from February 2027 onwards.

The GD and PI centres for 2027 are Delhi, Kolkata, Kakinada, GIFT City, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Indore, Lucknow and Mumbai, and IIFT may change a centre or the mode. The final result follows in the last week of April 2027.

IIFT has not published the weightage of each selection component for 2027.
