IIM Kozhikode Summer Placement 2018: 9 students grab Rs. 3 lakh package - average at 1.40 lakhs; over in 4 days

IIM Kozhikode has completed its 100% Summer Placement 2018 in record four days with 25% increase in average and 20% increase in highest stipend for the batch 2017-19. Out of 93 companies that participated in Summer Placement 2018 at IIM Kozhikode, 91 made 359 offers and 35 were the new recruiters. 50% of the companies that made offers feature in Fortune 500 list of companies.

IIM Kozhikode Summer Placement 2018 was marked with grand success and higher stipends. It reflects higher salary prospective in coming season of final placement 2018. More offers from more recruiters with higher packages remained the key attractions in IIM Kozhikode Summer placement 2018.

Students were offered roles in Investment Banking Division by Goldman Sachs. Amazon offered roles of Capacity Planning, Program Manager and MLDP along with BOLD internship. While Airtel participated for Young Leaders Summer Internship Programme, Deloitte and BCG hired students for core consulting roles.

It is the 21st batch of the Post Graduate Programme of IIM Kozhikode that has concluded its Summer Placement in a record 4 days. This year’s summer placements continued the trend of increasing average salary being offered to the students. This has reinstated IIM Kozhikode’s standing in the industry with the major brand names participating in the process.

29% Women & 75% Work-Ex candidates  in 2017-19 batch
IIM Kozhikode has 29% female candidates and 75% students are with work experience in the PGP batch 2017-19. A number of roles were extended to women by reputed companies like Abbott, BCG, Citibank, Goldman Sachs, HUL, Mahindra, Microsoft, Nestle and TAS among many others. Citi Group launched the Women Leader Award in the campus and companies hired women in substantial numbers.

Key placement trends
IIM Kozhikode has a consistent record of excellent placement. The students have found good placement in different sectors & domains with diverse profile.

Average and highest salary up
For a large batch size of 374 students, at Rs.3 lakhs, the highest stipend saw an increase of 20% and at Rs.1.40 lakhs, the average salary goes up by 25% in Summer Placement 2018 for the batch 2017-19 over last year summer placement.

Started in 1997 with its Postgraduate Programme (PGP) comprising 42 students, the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) today has a batch strength of 356 odd students. The B-school is on a high growth trajectory today, offering widest range of academic programmes in the field of management education. These include Fellow Program in Management, Executive PG Programs, Management Development Programs and Faculty Development Programs. IIMK set up a Satellite campus at Infopark, Kochi, in 2013 dedicated to Executive Education.
